CAF Launches New TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup Trophy ahead of Final in Zanzibar on Sunday
Following the launch of a brand new trophy of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League on Thursday last week, CAF on Sunday launched a new trophy for the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation in Zanzibar ahead of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Final match on Sunday. The trophy for the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) Interclub competition has been re-imagined into a stunning new design that is befitting of the rich history of the prestigious tournament. As part of CAF's broader strategy to rebrand and elevate its Competitions, the new design was conceived to amplify the visual impact of African football's pride. The new trophy symbolizes aspiration, unity, and excellence in the continental game. At the top, a matte gold ball featuring a polished gold map of Africa represents continental pride. Two matte gold arms cradle the ball, highlighting unity and strength. The shiny silver body, accented by a dynamic gold lightning streak, crafted specifically for glory, reflects the energy and competitiveness of the tournament. Its marble base with hammered texture stands for tradition and prestige, engraved with the competition's name and historical winners. Standing 45 cm tall, weighing 8-10 kg, this trophy is crafted for glory, embodying the relentless ambition and enduring spirit of African football. Tanzania side, Simba SC and RS Berkane will clash in the second leg of the 2024-25 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup Final in Zanzibar on Sunday (kick-off 16:00 local time / 13:00 GMT). Berkane lead the tie 2-0 after the first leg played in Morocco but face a Simba side desperate to write their names into the history books with a first continental trophy. Excitement builds as Simba FC and RS Berkane prepare for Second Leg of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup Final in Zanzibar
Following a 2-0 win for RS Berkane over Simba SC in the first leg of the 2024-25 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup Final in Berkane, Morocco, attention will turn to the return fixture on the island of Zanzibar this Sunday, 25 May 2025. The match will be played at Amaan Stadium at 16h00 local time (13h00 GMT) and will be live across all CAF's broadcast partners, including Azam Media, beIN Sport, Canal+, SuperSport, SABC and several other global platforms. RS Berkane go to the second leg with the advantage after early goals from Mamadou Camara and Oussama Lamlaoui at home, but Simba SC have shown plenty of fighting spirit already this campaign and will be confident of overturning the deficit.
