FM probes increasing bilateral trade volume with Mauritania
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty had a meeting on Tuesday with Mauritania's Minister of Trade and Tourism Zainab bint Ahmednah, during which he stressed the importance of holding the Egyptian-Mauritanian Economic Forum annually. Earlier today, Abdelatty participated in the opening session of the first edition of the Egyptian-Mauritanian Economic Forum, held in Nouakchott under the theme: 'Promoting trade and investment cooperation between both countries.' During his meeting with the Mauritanian minister, Abdelatty underscored the need for joint efforts to increase the volume of bilateral trade. He also shed light on some Egyptian businesses that could contribute to furthering bilateral cooperation in the trade, energy, infrastructure, and fishing industries, among others.

Top 10 Aussie beaches revealed
When you think of Australia's iconic beaches, the brisk temperatures in Tasmania might not be the first place that comes to mind. But new research from Tourism Australia crowns a beach in Tasmania as the country's best for 2025. The accolade for Australia's best beach has been awarded to a 10km stretch of coastline in Tasmania's Bay of Fires Conservation Reserve. While usually there is just one winner, in 2025, a cluster of neighbouring beaches took out the top prize. Tourism Australia's official 'Beach Ambassador' Brad Farmer said for the first time a beach in Tasmania had won the award. 'I spent plenty of time in Tasmania assessing the beaches and in the end there were so many incredible options I couldn't even settle on one which is why, for the first time, I'm awarding the best beach to a cluster of neighbouring beach bays in the Bay of Fires,' Mr Farmer said. The Bay of Fires beaches beat over 12,000 entrants. Recent temperatures at the bay have been at a brisk 14C to 17C. 'They say the colder water is good for you, but even if you're not up for a refreshing dip there is still plenty to do and see along this 10 kilometre stretch of coast. It's a location made for photography or painting, fishing and surfing,' Mr Farmer said. According to Mr Famer, the Bay of Fires is Australia's best beach due to a stretch of coastline featuring clear blue seas, white sand and striking rock formations. In second place was Woolgoogla, located near Coffs Harbour, while Norfolk Island's Emily Bay Lagoon ranks Australia's third best beach. Trade and Tourism Minister Don Farrell said there was no doubt Australia had the best beaches in the world. 'This year's list showcases to the world what Aussies already know – that Bondi and Brighton are great, but it's worth the journey to see some truly unique beaches in regional Australia,' he said. 'There will be many families, just like mine, that love looking through the 'Best Australian Beaches' list every year to pick which ones they want to visit next. 'At times, the selections create plenty of debate, which I welcome, and I look forward to the feedback on this year's top 10,' he said
