Peter Andre proud of daughter Princess as she makes huge career move

EXCLUSIVE: Peter Andre is opening up about the apologies he is receiving after people watched his controversial film, Jafaican, all while he is filming for a new show Proud dad Peter Andre is no stranger to a reality TV show so while the family are currently joining Princess Andre for her new reality TV show. The 17-year-old is set to get her own taste of fame as she will be the centre of a fly-on-the-wall show. Princess has been following in the footsteps of famous parents, Katie and Peter Andre, as she's been working with brands for the past two years. But now she is due to show a behind the scenes look in her new documentary style programme. ‌ The dad of six is also giving his views on the ITV shows shake up and is calling it "sad sign of the times" after it was reported that viewers will see huge changes to the daytime schedule.... ‌ Proud dad alert We've been filming for Princess's new reality show and it's been great fun for us all. Obviously, as a family we're no strangers to reality TV - but I'm so proud of what Princess is doing now. I think people are going to really enjoy seeing it. There's a few surprises in there, too, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so you'll have to watch it when it comes out - sorry! Seeing red on the red carpet I see the Denzel Washington incident on the Cannes red carpet, when he had a tense exchange with a photographer, has gone viral. We don't know what was said, or what triggered him - it looked like someone was maybe pulling on his arm? And sometimes you can't control yourself, when you're triggered. I don't think I've ever lost my temper on a red carpet - but I'm not as popular as Denzel so I don't think people would be pulling me like that! I know one thing for sure, though, I've seen Training Day and The Equalizer and I wouldn't want to mess with Denzel. ‌ Show shake-ups There's been a huge shakeup at ITV, which I think is just a sad sign of the times, really. There's big changes every couple of years with formats and schedules because things are so fast-paced in the TV industry. I think viewers are also less patient, so they might be watching shorter clips and shorter shows, and that has an effect. I love the likes of Loose Women and Lorraine, so long may they continue, as far as I'm concerned. ‌ Booze ban Olly Murs revealed he's tee-total when he's touring, and I totally respect him for that. Once upon a time, live music was all about the party scene, all very rock 'n' roll. But I've met some absolute rock legends who are now tee-total - as am I. I used to love drinking loads of tequila and getting smashed after a concert back in the nineties, but times have changed. Now I'll have an espresso before I go on stage. Then I head home to bed, afterwards! Screening apologies The screening for Jafaican was in London last week and there was a huge turnout. Now that people have seen it, we've received a few apologies for some of the things that have been written about it, because now that people have seen it, they've realised it wasn't in any way racist. It's actually funny and heartfelt. Hopefully, now that people can watch the full film and make up their own minds, we can put an end to the controversy.

Spike Lee Says Denzel Washington Deserved Oscar for ‘Malcolm X' Over Al Pacino: ‘It's Like Basketball, Where the Ref Blows a Call'

At a Cannes press conference for his new film 'Highest 2 Lowest' on Tuesday, Spike Lee reflected on his five collaborations with Denzel Washington — and said he should have won the best actor Oscar in 1993 over Al Pacino. ''Malcolm X,' what he did with that film was amazing,' Lee said. 'And no disrespect to my brother Al Pacino, I love him. But Denzel, in my opinion, should have won.' However, Lee added that he doesn't measure his success with awards. 'With these awards, it's like basketball, where the ref blows a call and you have to make a call. So the make a call I think was 'Training Day,' which he won an Oscar for,' Lee said. 'But we don't do our work for awards, which are nice, but it's the work that is going to stand above all awards.' Asked if he and Washington would be collaborating more in the future, Lee said, 'I think this is it.' 'He's been talking about retirement, so… Even though he just did another deal,' Lee continued. 'I thought you said you were retired Denzel, what's up?! But those five films together, those stand up.' Washington stars in 'Highest 2 Lowest,' which premiered at Cannes on Monday night to a 5.5-minute standing ovation. An English-language remake of Japanese director Akira Kurosawa's 1963 film 'High and Low,' 'Highest 2 Lowest' is set in modern day New York and stars Washington as a music mogul tied up in a life-or-death ransom plot. A$AP Rocky plays Yung Felon, an aspiring rapper who will stop at nothing to achieve his dream. Neither were on hand at the Cannes press conference for the film. Spike Lee Says Denzel Washington Should Have Won the Oscar for ‘Malcolm X': ‘No Disrespect to My Brother Al Pacino' Though

Spike Lee is calling out a bad call from the Academy more than 30 years later: The auteur, along with most cinephiles, is convinced that Denzel Washington was snubbed for the Best Actor Oscar for 'Malcolm X.' Al Pacino instead won over Washington for 'Scent of a Woman.' During the Cannes press conference for Lee's latest (and allegedly final) collaboration with Washington, 'Highest 2 Lowest,' the director compared the Academy's decision to a poor referee call in basketball, something that Lee also knows all too well about given his status as the patron saint of the Knicks. 'And no disrespect to my brother Al Pacino, I love him. But Denzel, in my opinion, should have won.' Lee continued, 'With these awards, it's like basketball, where the ref blows a call and you have to make a call. So the call I think was 'Training Day,' which he won an Oscar for. But we don't do our work for awards, which are nice, but it's the work that is going to stand above all awards.' It was a decade later, exactly, that Washington won Best Actor for Antoine Fuqua's 'Training Day.' And 'Highest 2 Lowest' could propel Washington back into the awards circuit: IndieWire's David Ehrlich deemed Washington's performance 'his most towering since 'Training Day'' in the review. As for the legacy of 'Malcolm X,' Lee paid tribute to the late civil rights activist, who would have been 100 during the festival. Washington also received a surprise Honorary Palme d'Or during the May 19 premiere of 'Highest 2 Lowest,' with Cannes festival heads Thierry Frémaux and Iris Knobloch presenting the award onstage ahead of the screening. Washington had to sit out the press conference for the film, though, as the star had to immediately return to New York to resume leading the Broadway show 'Othello.' When asked if he and Washington plan to collaborate more after their five films together, Lee said, 'I think this is it. He's been talking about retirement, so…Even though he just did another deal [for 'Here Comes the Flood'].' (To note, Washington has also already confirmed his role in Ryan Coogler's 'Black Panther 3'.) Lee added, 'I thought you said you were retired Denzel, what's up?! But those five films together, those stand up.' Lee reunited with longtime collaborator Washington for his English-language reimagining of Japanese director Akira Kurosawa's 1963 film 'High and Low.' The duo previously collaborated on 'Inside Man,' 'Mo' Better Blues,' 'Malcolm X,' and 'He Got Game.' 'Highest 2 Lowest' will be released August 22 from A24 followed by an Apple TV+ streaming premiere via Apple Original Films in September. Yet don't count Washington out of another Lee joint entirely: The actor did say earlier this year that he would work with him again. 'Spike is consistently Spike, and I love that about him,' Washington said. 'And I love working with him, and I'd work with him again. I just like the way his brain works.'Best of IndieWire Guillermo del Toro's Favorite Movies: 56 Films the Director Wants You to See 'Song of the South': 14 Things to Know About Disney's Most Controversial Movie The 55 Best LGBTQ Movies and TV Shows Streaming on Netflix Right Now
