Deatrich Wise Jr. speaks on Laremy Tunsil, Quinn's culture, best trait, and more
First-year Commanders defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr. has been very enthusiastic this offseason after spending his first eight NFL seasons with the New England Patriots. Wise has had plenty of success and winning seasons with the Patriots, winning a Super Bowl in his second season in the league. Wise joined us on the latest Trap or Dive podcast; he knows he joined Washington at a great time, coming off a 12-win regular season and knocking at the doorstep of a Super Bowl bid. However, his unit has had its fair share of concerns after the season and has endured noticeable turnover this offseason. Washington bought Wise in to help turn around a poor run defense and provide a better edge presence, but he also feels like a well-balanced defender due to his ability to pressure the quarterback. He feels very confident in his unit's ability to make significant strides with the overall collective talent within his position group.
