Mother, son killed in crash on Mother's day
An Ohio mother and her young son died in a crash on Mother's Day. [DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] 25-year-old Aisha Trawally of Columbus was a passenger in a vehicle traveling on I-70 in Claysville, Pennsylvania, about 45 minutes from the Ohio border, our news partners at WBNS-10 TV reported. A 4-year-old boy, Abdul-Salami Touray, was in the backseat of the vehicle, according to a release from the Washington County Coroner obtained by WBNS-10 TV. The vehicle crossed a median and collided with a semitruck, WBNS-10 TV reported. Trawally was pronounced dead at the scene, and Touray was flown to UPMC Washington Hospital and pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle was flown to a Pittsburgh-area hospital, WBNS-10 TV reported. The coroner's report stated that Trawally was not weaing a seatbelt and Touray was not in a child seat. Mother and son from Columbus killed in Pennsylvania collision on I-70
WASHINGTON, PA (WCMH) – A mother and son from Columbus were among the victims identified in a deadly crash that occurred Sunday afternoon in Western Pennsylvania. According to the Washington County Coroner's Office in Pennsylvania, three people were traveling in a vehicle heading westbound on Interstate 70 near the Claysville Exit, west of Washington, Pa. For reasons that are still unknown, the vehicle veered across the median and into the eastbound lanes. Two dead in shooting near east Columbus school The vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer on I-70 East at approximately 1:08 p.m. Emergency medics arrived at the scene and pronounced 25-year-old Aisha Trawally dead at the scene. Trawally, of Columbus, was in the front passenger seat. Her son, 4-year-old Abdul-Salami Touray, was life-flighted to UPMC Washington Hospital, but was pronounced dead at 2:04 p.m. The coroner's report noted that Trawally was not wearing a seat belt and Touray was not in a child's seat. The driver of the vehicle, also not reportedly wearing a seat belt, was taken to a Pittsburgh-area hospital in an unknown condition.
