Limerick have beaten Waterford six points in round three of the Munster SHC at Walsh Park. Here's how the action unfolded. one minute ago That's it from us here! It was a pleasure to keep you up to date with all the action and make sure to keep an eye out for the post-match report to follow shortly. My colleague Niall McIntyre will be back tomorrow with two massive football matches as the Connacht and Munster finals take place on Sunday. Enjoy your evening! 4 minutes ago Cian Lynch speaking to GAA+ at full-time: "I suppose every week we face something different, and you want to bring something different too. Our first game against Tipperary went down to the wire and it could have gone either way. For us, it was about getting a result today and the performance was good too. "We knew Waterford are a great team, and they got off with a great win in their first game. For us to come down here, get a victory and be able to go away with a the points is huge. "Obviously we are grateful for the Limerick fans who came down here today, it's not an easy journey. Massive credit to Waterford it was some battle out there. I suppose we have been battling with them right up from Minor is I've no doubt they'll go on throughout the year this year as well. Postgame Tired bodies lie scattered everywhere as Colm Lyons whistles for full-time. The Treaty County have done it by six points in the end and they were full value for it too! Shane O'Brien, Tom Morrissey and Cian Lynch were deadly for John Kiely's side while Adam English was industrious around midfield and Mike Casey impressed at corner-back. 70'+3 Point Waterford Scorer Gavin Fives After a scrappy passage of play, Gavin Fives finds himself in open country to solo up-field and clip over a score. 70'+1 Point Limerick Scorer Aaron Gillane What a sensational score! Hugging the left sideline, an off-balance Gillane scores from an almost improbable angle as Limerick edge closer to victory. The Man of the Match has been given to Cian Lynch and we will have 3 minutes of injury time added on. 69' Point Waterford Scorer Shane Bennett Stephen Bennett fires it in towards the edge of the large parallelogram for Shane Bennett to gather and flick over a score with a wristy strike. 67' Point Limerick Scorer Shane O'Neill Conor Prunty does his level best to catch O'Neill but the fleet-footed forward evades him and drills over another point as the Treaty County fans erupt. 66' Point Limerick Scorer Cathal O'Neill O'Neill shows a clean pair of heels to get away from Conor Prunty to score from close range. 66' Point Waterford Scorer Stephen Bennett Stephen Bennett has done all he can for the Deise today, meanwhile Austin Gleeson is in for Waterford. 65' Point Limerick Scorer Aidan O'Connor A brilliant point from the substitute from Ballybrown who extends Limerick's lead which is looking healthy at this stage. 63' WATCH: Gearoid Hegarty's point lifted the Treaty County supporters! 62' Point Waterford Scorer Stephen Bennett The Ballysaggart man makes no mistake from the resulting '65 but there's no doubt he would have loved a goal there - Nickie Quaid denied him with the parry. 61' Substitution Limerick Substituted out Tom Morrissey Substituted in Aidan O'Connor Limerick have a wealth of talent to pick from as Aidan O'Connor replaces Tom Morrissey. Nickie Quaid makes a fine save a minute later but it was a tame enough shot in truth which he shoveled behind for a '65. 60' Point Waterford Scorer Jamie Barron The Fourmilewater man keeps the Deise on Limerick's trail with a well taken point from the middle of the park. 59' Point Limerick Scorer Cian Lynch He knew the minute he left his hurl it was on the way between the posts as Cian Lynch nails another point. 58' Point Waterford Scorer Stephen Bennett The Limerick fans don't like it but Colm Lyons awards the free to Waterford which Stephen Bennett converts from. 57' Wides at either end for both counties as Billy Nolan's free sails across the posts while Cathal O'Neill misses for Limerick. 54' Point Waterford Scorer Mark Fitzgerald Another excellent point from Mark Fitzgerald who has been a thorn in Limerick's side from left half-back.
