May 3 election: Killian voters to elect final member of Board of Aldermen
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First News) — Voters in the Town of Killian are heading to the polls on Saturday, May 3, to elect the final member of the Board of Aldermen.
Trevor Clardy and Bryce Felps, both Republicans, advanced to the runoff election after no candidate secured enough votes to win during the initial election held on March 29.
Four alderman seats were filled in that election. The winners included Republicans Corey Beasley, Wesley Bignar, and Ronald L. Sharp, Sr., along with Nicholas Guthrie, who ran with no party affiliation.
Killian residents also selected their new mayor during the March 29 election. Caleb Atwell, a Republican, won with 322 votes against Louis McKinney Jr., who had 101 votes.
Election Day is Saturday, May 3, and polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 must present a valid photo ID or a special identification card with their name and photograph to cast a ballot.
