The Magic are coming off a 116-108 loss to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday to fall to 3-6 in March. They cut a 16-point fourth-quarter deficit to six points in the final minute but couldn't get closer after holding a 36-28 advantage in the period.
Paolo Banchero led the Magic with a game-high 31 points, six rebounds and five assists, Franz Wagner scored 20 points and Goga Bitadze added 19 points off the bench. Banchero has recorded at least 30 points, five rebounds and five assists six times this season.
The Wizards and Magic are meeting for the third time this season. Orlando took the first two matchups and has won eight consecutive games in the series over Washington.
