Call the Midwife star Helen George shares a glimpse behind-the-scenes of season 15
Call the Midwife fans are in for an early treat this year as main star and actress Helen George has revealed a little sneak peek from upcoming series 15.
Back on set with her fellow cast mates, she revealed they had all officially began filming the new season for 2026 along with the Christmas special for later this year.
Helen, who plays Trixie Franklin, took to Instagram to share a little behind-the-scenes picture which she captioned: "Series 15. 15 years of joy, love and laughter. How lucky I've been. @ @nealstreetproductions @bbcone."
Over on Call the Midwife's main Instagram page, they shared the same photo and revealed the mood on set, more behind-the-camera antics and a hint of a spoiler too. They added: "It's official - our team are back in Poplar!! We are delighted to announce the commencement of filming for our fifteenth series of Call the Midwife.

"Of course, filming Christmas means….another heatwave in the UK!! Once more, our long-suffering team are laying down snow whilst wearing sunglasses. And our cast can look sweaty-chic in those five layers of winter clothing….
"The mood is FANTASTIC on set, however, as our team are about to film an INCREDIBLE new Christmas story! There is just so much to tell about this year's festive drama… but all we can say right now is that there are distant troubles, wild celebrations, new beginnings, sad reunions… and a few sore heads!"
Delighted with the news the cast were back to filming, fans quickly responded to the picture with joy and excitement with some hoping they could even encourage producers to make even more seasons.

Already on the countdown for the new season, @ added: "Fabulous!! Sunday nights are not the same without the best weekly fix on TV!!"
Wanting more, @charlottebenger_ said: "I wish there was more of this through the year - 8 eps and a Christmas special just isn't enough."
