Marco Tulio happy to leave UFC 314 with another stoppage after chaotic fight week
MIAMI – Marco Tulio met the media Saturday after his win over Tresean Gore at UFC 314. Tulio (14-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) put away Gore (5-3 MMA, 2-3 UFC) with a second-round TKO on the prelims at Kaseya Center. It was his 10th straight win and fourth straight stoppage. But leading up to the event, there was plenty of chaos for Tulio – including a robbery in his native Brazil and a car accident once he got to Miami. 'I kept my cool with everything – cool head, cool heart, just making sure I was focused,' Tulio said at his post-fight news conference. 'Obviously, there was the robbery event in Sao Paulo, and coming here there was the accident. But I felt very cool. '… I want to be a very active worker in this company, so maybe two fights more this year.' The 30-year-old middleweight now has 10 of his 11 stoppage wins by knockout. Check out Tulio's post-fight news conference in the video above. For more on the card, visit MMA Junkie's event hub for UFC 314.

Reality show players battle exhaustion, pain and betrayal on the toughest challenge yet at Mont-Tremblant
Social Sharing Welcome to Mont-Tremblant, Quebec! Tensions are high because one team will be eliminated, while the rest move on to the finale. Who will be cut? What went down on Episode 6 of Canada's Ultimate Challenge, Season 3 Players arrived at the historic Circuit Mont-Tremblant, the second-oldest racetrack in the country, for what looks like the most gruelling challenge of the series, The Ultimate Pit Crew Push. Each team had to steer a rickety four-wheeled cart around a 4.3-kilometre track three times — that's over 12 kilometres! Along the way, they had to load the cart up with tires — 16 in total — weighing over 400 pounds. And the final twist? This track followed the natural topography of the land, which was hilly. At the start of the race, Team Red was on top with rivals Team Yellow at the bottom. The stacks were high. Said Eddie, "I've never even run 12 kilometres. But we're gonna push as hard as we can go until we get to that finish line." And they are off, Team Red and Team Yellow neck and neck around the track, with Wildcard and Blue behind. All teams discovered they needed to stack their tires carefully because if they rolled down the hills too fast, they would pop right off the cart, losing precious time to reload. Eddie found an ingenious way to stack them by placing the smaller ones inside the larger ones to make a more solid formation, which the other teams instantly copied. But there was a lot of frustration on the track. "This challenge sucks," said Aaron who looked like he might not finish. "First lap and I'm exhausted. I'm gonna puke." Steve is feeling it, too: "I need to stop. My leg is starting to cramp. I'm just hobbling." And Team Blue was way, way behind. MVP of Episode 3: Tulio (and all of Team Blue) "Pain is temporary, G [Gracia]. Let's keep pushing. We'll rest when we're dead," said Tulio as he rallied the team. Things looked grim but they kept with it. "Going up this hill, the pain is unbearable," said Gracia. "What the [bleep] am I doing here?" In a neck-and-neck race, Team Yellow pulled out the W. "This is absolutely amazing. I am beyond proud of Kelly and I am beyond proud of Steve!" said Eddie. Despite the impressive win, it wasn't enough to keep second-place Team Red from winning the region. They'd be safe from elimination and choose whether Yellow or Wildcard would face Team Blue in the elimination round. In last place, and after more than three hours on the track, Team Blue finally crossed the finish line. No hard feelings, though; they were all just happy to finish. "This was honestly the hardest thing that I've ever done in my entire life. Tulio, you were just my rock through this whole thing. And so I just kind of want Tulio to be cap[tain] for the remaining of the region," said Gracia. Agreed, Tulio is a rock and the whole team were champs for persevering! Now Team Red faced a tough decision: Who would get a free ticket to the finale, Team Yellow or Team Wildcard? Moment that changed the game Santina and Keenan were ready to throw Team Yellow in retaliation. But Team Blue, struggling to survive in the game, made some interesting revelations. "Aaron is the kind of player that slides his way into the top. He doesn't deserve to go to the finale," said Gracia. "Wildcard, I want to beat them." By this point in the game, there was no love for Aaron, especially from his former Team Blue. It was Aaron's double-dealing that had sealed his fate, back in Episode 2. When he was Team Blue's captain, he decided to put Team Yellow into the elimination round at BC Place (remember the friendship bracelet incident?) McKiya revealed that Aaron told his team that Red wanted Yellow in the elimination round and that they made threats to come after Team Blue. This wasn't quite the truth. "I felt cornered," said Aaron in his defence. "Why is this being brought up now, I didn't mean it that way." "Yellow, they put you in [last week] because they believe all those lies, so they're also victims of the truest villain, which is Aaron," said Gracia (who by this point, would say anything to give her team a fighting chance). Aaron was finally revealed. But he was also lucky. Best line of the episode A (strategic) truth: "Last region, Yellow decided to throw us in. We forgive, but we don't forget. It's the way she goes, baby," said Team Red's Mark. Team Red decided to throw Team Yellow into the elimination round regardless. Aaron and Team Wildcard would make it to the finale. Next up, the shores of Lac Tremblant for the High Rollers Elimination Showdown. Both teams would take a spot at opposite ends of a giant log suspended over the water. Whichever player was the last one standing won the round for their team. The first team that won three rounds would make it to the finale in Halifax. "The thing about this challenge is it's about balance, stamina, focus. All our strengths. We're okay, Blue," said Tulio optimistically. But in three nail-biting rounds, Yellow squeaked out the W. Bye-bye, Team Blue! "We gave it everything we had. I wouldn't want to have done it with anybody else. Love you, guys," said Tulio (again, showing great leadership!) McKiya added, "We gave it all we had. I'm so proud of us. There's no other way I'd rather go out than with those two people." We'll miss you at the finale in Halifax! UFC 314 Bout Order Set—Is This 2025's Strongest Card So Far?
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - MARCH 07: (L-R) Opponents Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes face off during ... More the UFC 314 press conference at Michelob ULTRA Arena on March 07, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC) UFC 314 looks about as good on paper as any card we've seen since UFC 308, or maybe even UFC 300. It's that strong on paper. The official fight order was released per ESPN. Take a look. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - MARCH 07: (L-R) Opponents Bryce Mitchell and Jean Silva face off during the UFC ... More 314 press conference at Michelob ULTRA Arena on March 07, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Chris Unger/Zuffa LLC) The main event is obviously a huge and intriguing fight. However, if I had to point to one of the other fights that has me excited, it's Jean Silva vs. Bryce Mitchell. Everyone knows Mitchell isn't a serious title contender, but for worst, he has made himself a bigger name in the UFC. Silva is a rising star whose shine will get even brighter if he knocks Mitchell out. UFC fans will be watching this main card fight closely. (Photo by Chris Unger/Zuffa LLC via Getty Images) Everyone is focused on Pitbull's UFC debut—and with good reason—but Dana White Contender Series standout Tulio could make another moment for himself in Miami when he clashes with Tresean Gore on the prelims. Tulio is a powerful middleweight who needed two appearances on DWCS to get the call. He scored an explosive first-round KO win over Ihor Potieria in his main roster debut. If Tulio can knock off Gore, we may have a rising star at middleweight. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - MARCH 07: (L-R) Opponents Michael Chandler and Paddy Pimblett during the UFC 314 ... More press conference at Michelob ULTRA Arena on March 07, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC) Michael Chandler is on the hot seat. If he loses to Paddy Pimblett, expect to see his stock plummet even more than it already has since he arrived in the UFC. Chandler has called out Conor McGregor, despite most people believing the former champion is done in the Octagon. However, if he can't beat Pimblett, the days of considering Chandler as a potential title contender are officially over. (Photo by Chris Unger/Zuffa LLC) As much as we're anticipating UFC 314, it's not the next UFC event. UFC Vegas 105 is next, and it happens on Saturday, April 5 at the Apex. The show will be headlined by Lerone Murphy vs. Josh Emmett. Here is a look at the entire card. Be on the lookout for post-event coverage.

Stakes are sky-high as reality show contestants arrive in Vancouver
Social Sharing All five teams headed from Tofino's beaches to Vancouver's urban oasis for the next leg of the game. But as the friendship bracelet came off, the competition heated up and one team was eliminated. Here's what went down. What went down on Episode 1 of Canada's Ultimate Challenge, Season 3 It was no ordinary day at the office when teams got a look at the next challenge, the "Ultimate Solo Sky Hang". One player from each team had to hang from a steel truss hanging 24 stories over the side of a Vancouver skyscraper. Team Blue's Tulio immediately stepped up. "I skydive, I bungee jump," he said, "this is the next thrill, I'm so happy to put this in." He was joined Steve, Ene, Willow and Santina at the top. It was a bright, beautiful day and the view was amazing as all five players hung on for their (safely tethered) lives. There was even some singing. While other players managed their discomfort and tried not to look down, Tulio belted out his favourite karaoke song, "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers. When a couple of other players joined in, it felt like a heart-swelling moment of harmony until…Santina hilariously shut them down. When things started looking too comfortable, the challenge went next level. Instead of lying on top of the rope, players had to hang from the bottom. And then, an hour and a half later, players had to hang with one arm only. After an excruciating 150 minutes, Santina, Willow and Ene dropped out, leaving Tulio and Team Green's Steve hanging on. Then, making a deal (more on this) that would reverberate through the rest of the episode, Tulio won the challenge for Team Blue. With Blue now at the top of the leaderboard, they had to choose which teams would go into the first elimination challenge. There was much manoeuvring behind the scenes with each team making their case — and some pretty strong feelings that Team Green wasn't worth saving. When the teams arrived for the first elimination challenge at BC Place, the mood was tense. Team Blue put Team Orange and Team Yellow in to battle it out, saving Team Green and honouring the deal Tulio made with Steve, high above the city. There was much drama (see below). In the "Touchdown Elimination Showdown" teams had to hit three targets by swinging a teammate over 50 yards across the field so that they were close enough to throw a football at the targets. Ayjay and Kelly elected to strap into the sky swings and throw the footballs. The first team to knock down all three targets moved on to the next round. Kelly had the better aim and took the challenge to keep Team Yellow in the game. Team Orange was, well, bitter and left with a few choice parting words about Team Red. "Red is all snakes. They're going to snake you any chance they get," said Becky as she left the game. And with that, the remaining teams move on. Moment that changed the game At the end of the "Ultimate Solo Sky Hang", only two players remained, Tulio and Steve. Both were exhausted after spending nearly three hours atop the structure, 24 stories up. So they struck a deal. Steve would let go and in exchange, Tulio promised that Team Green would not be sent to the next elimination round. Tulio's winning performance put Team Blue at the top of the leaderboard, they would have to decide who would battle in the elimination challenge. Of course, Tulio's offer was made without his team members' knowledge and there were many feelings about it. Because the bottom three teams were tied for last place, Team Blue was in the awkward position of having to choose, not one — but two teams — to battle in the first elimination round. And nobody was happier than Team Red. During the "Ultimate Solo Sky Hang" challenge, Keenan made another alliance, this time with Team Blue's Aaron meaning that Team Red now had forged unions with three other teams. "This is the perfect situation. We're not at the top of the leaderboard, but Team Red is safe and there's no blood on these hands," said deal-maker Keenan. In a game, where alliances are everything, Team Blue had to burn a few bridges to honour Tulio's promise. Best line of the episode Aaron shows his spicy side: " I made that for you because I was nice. So shut the [bleep] up and go in there and compete. Because guess what? I won, you lost. Go show me." That's what Team Blue's Aaron fired back after a dramatic bracelet toss at BC Place in Vancouver. Watch it here. Team Yellow's Eddie throws his friendship bracelet to the ground at BC Place 1 month ago Duration 0:31 Eddie threw the friendship bracelet to the ground when Aaron revealed that he was putting Team Yellow into the elimination round. Members of Team Blue had grown close to Team Yellow, so they viewed it as a betrayal. And with that one dramatic gesture, the game shifted — the time for making friends was over. "It's serious now," said Veronica, "And it low-key got a little personal." Watch the reaction behind the scenes. Team Yellow would have to fight for a chance to stay in the game. MVP of Episode 2: Steve from Team Green We're going to have to give this one to Steve. With his team riding last on the leaderboard, he stepped up to the plate for the Solo Sky Hang. With his over-confident swagger, he told his teammates he'd hang below the rope sloth-style while the other competitors spent the first hour lying on top of it. Team Green Captain Ashlyn was openly skeptical. "You're doing all of us. So make sure that while you're doing you, that you take everything we're saying into account," she warned. Steve, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor was confident he had the grip strength to hang on, "I'm ready to be the last one hanging. The pressure is on, but pressure makes diamonds." If you were around last season, that kind of cockiness was giving Adam in the pole hang from Season 2 vibes. But hang on, he did. 'til the bitter end. And yes, we agree, you are a cool dad, Steve.
