Rangers star Robin Propper considering shock U-TURN over his Ibrox future
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) ROBIN PROPPER has stalled on his move back to Twente Enschede and will hold talks with new boss Russell Martin to find out if he has a future at Rangers. The Dutch defender had an indifferent first season at Ibrox and was subject of plenty of criticism, although he still played 43 games in all competitions last season for Rangers. However, Twente Enschede's new sports director, Jan Streuer, has revealed Propper has not decided whether to try and play his way into boss Martin's plans yet. He said: "We have to wait and see with him. "Robin wants to hear from his club on what they're going to do. "I understand that there are new owners, a new technical director, a new manager and new coaches. "They always have new ideas and they also bring their own players with them. "The question is what all this means for Robin. "But he's welcome back here." Rangers-daft Stuart Dallas, meanwhile, has told 49ers Enterprises powerbroker Paraag Marathe that leading Leeds to success will be nothing compared to restoring Rangers to glory. Marathe was appointed Gers vice-chairman after his 49ers Enterprises were part of the club's US takeover. £6m Rangers star Danilo spotted doing gruelling sessions on beach in Brazil as he gears up for make or break pre-season Their running of the Elland Road side saw them land promotion back to the Premier League after being crowned Championship champs. Leeds legend Dallas - forced to retire through injury last year - is a boyhood Gers fan so knows just how much it would mean for the Ibrox side to start lifting silverware again. Dallas, 34, said: 'Obviously Rangers are built on success. They have to get back to winning trophies and they don't settle for second best. 'I've said to Paraag before that if you get it right at Rangers you'll never experience anything like it." Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page

Celtic given transfer stance on unwanted defender by Dutch club's technical director
Celtic are demanding too much money for Gustaf Lagerbielke, according to Twente Enschede's technical director. The 24-year-old defender is currently on loan at the Dutch club and is keen to make the move permanent. However, he still has three years remaining on his contract at Celtic. He arrived in the summer of 2023 from IF Elfsporg with Brendan Rodgers splashing out £3m to secure his signature but the move hasn't worked out. Twente's technical director, Arnold Bruggink, has claimed that the Hoops are asking for too much money to make the deal permanent. He said: "In this case, we are dependent on what Celtic want. "They are asking for quite a bit of money. "He is a very stable defender. "We would like to make the deal permanent, but I think it is not very realistic at the moment." It remains to be seen if Lagerbielke will have a future at Celtic upon his return to Glasgow at the end of the season. The Swedish international cost the club £3 million when he signed from Elfsborg in his homeland two years ago. However, he made only four league starts before heading to the Netherlands on loan.
