‘You had no role in India's progress': Mohandas Pai shreds Indian-American millionaire over quality of life remarks
Former Infosys CFO Mohandas Pai hit back at Hotmail co-founder Sabeer Bhatia for his post slamming the quality of life in India and asking if the common people could feel the impact of the country becoming the fourth largest economy after surpassing Japan. 'We overtook Japan in GDP……but can you feel it in your pocket? Growth without distribution is just inflation in disguise,' Bhatia wrote as he posted a video. The footage shows slums, poor drainage systems, and even the white foam that forms in Delhi's Yamuna, causing concern each year. Earlier too, Bhatia spoke about the quality of life in India. "The reason I have come out and criticised the overall GDP over that of Japan is for this reason. I have been getting a lot of backlash on my Twitter account but I'm still doing it because I love India and I love each and every one of you. I really care about India and I want it to be an India that improves the lives of all of its citizens, especially the ones right at the bottom of the pyramid. If we can change their lives, all the other numbers automatically take care of themselves,' Bhatia continued in the video. He then listed how he thinks India can be better - mass education with the help of AI and the development of critical thinking skills among the masses. Reposting Bhati's X post, Pai wrote, 'Man Sabeer Bhatia you are an economic refugee, left India long ago.' 'Good riddance to bad rubbish. You had no role in India's progress. So stop pontificating and shut up. We will grow India and build our future. We do not need you. You are toxic and a hate monger,' Pai continued. An individual wrote, 'Yes, I do. When I went to Japan this year, my rupee counted for much more! In the past, I was able to buy less with the same amount of money. This time, I was able to buy a lot more. Just because you live in a bubble in the US, doesn't mean the people on the ground don't.' Another added, 'I get your point, Sabeer, and improvement in GDP per capita growth will happen once we realise India's full potential across services and product space. So, let's be optimistic, support the movement, and celebrate the milestone without losing momentum." A third continued, 'You should have stayed back and contributed to growth and distribution.' Bhatia and Pai's X interaction comes amid the debate of GDP vs per capita GDP. While many applauded India's ascension to the fourth position, some pointed out that when it comes to per capita GDP, there is no comparison between India and Japan.

The Elon Musk you did not know: From Tony Stark connection to launching a perfume
The world's richest man, Elon Musk, is well known as the owner of Tesla, the electric car maker, and SpaceX, his private space company. He also took over the social media platform Twitter, renaming it X. Until recently, Musk worked within the US government as head of the Department of Government Efficiency - known as DOGE - which was part of Donald Trump's dispensation. After nearly 130 days in the role, Musk announced his departure from the department. His time there and his close ties with Trump kept him in the headlines more than ever. But there are many lesser-known facts about the billionaire entrepreneur, according to a report by Sky news. At just 12 years old in the early 1980s, Musk created a video game called Blastar. Using coding skills he had learned from the age of nine, Musk designed a game where players used their keyboard to shoot alien spaceships. By 1984, the game was sold to PC and Office Technology magazine for $500 (£371) and appeared in their December issue. Read | Elon Musk 'willingly accepted outrageous abuse because…': Donald Trump bids DOGE head farewell | Top 10 points Musk's talent for business showed early. In 1995, at 24, he and his brother Kimbal started their first company, Zip2, which developed online city guides for newspapers. The business began with just $28,000 (£20,000) but was sold for nearly $300 million (£222 million) in 1999. Before the sale, Musk and his brother were almost broke and slept on their office floor—something Musk later repeated in Tesla's early days. He earned $22 million from the sale and bought a McLaren F1 sports car. He told CNN, 'Just three years ago I was sleeping on the office floor, and now I've got a million-dollar car.' Not all Musk's ventures have been long-lasting. In 2022, he launched a perfume called Burnt Hair, described on The Boring Company's website as 'the essence of repugnant desire.' The scent was priced at $100 (£74) a bottle and sold 10,000 bottles within hours, earning Musk a million dollars. He joked, 'With a name like mine, getting into the fragrance business was inevitable - why did I even fight it for so long!?' The perfume is no longer available on the company's website. Besides perfume, Tesla released tequila in 2020 and Musk even sold limited edition Tesla short shorts as a playful challenge to investors betting against the company. Read | Black spot near Elon Musk's eye raises speculations amid reports of drug use Before Twitter became X, Musk founded an online banking and financial service company. The platform merged in 2000 with Confinity, which was co-founded by Peter Thiel and Max Levchin, and was later renamed PayPal. Musk served as PayPal's CEO but was ousted after disputes over the company's direction. eBay bought PayPal in 2002 for $1.5 billion (£1.4 billion). In 2017, eBay sold the domain back to Musk. Read | 'Did Elon Musk get punched?' His bruised eye at Oval Office baffles netizens Musk's life inspired Hollywood. The screenwriter of Iron Man, Mark Fergus, said the character Tony Stark was partly based on Musk, alongside Donald Trump and Apple's Steve Jobs. 'Musk took the brilliance of Jobs with the showmanship of Trump. He was the only one who had the fun factor and the celebrity vibe and actual business substance,' Fergus told New York Magazine. Musk even made a cameo appearance in Iron Man 2 in 2010. Despite popular belief, Musk did not start Tesla. The company was founded in 2003 by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning. Musk was an early investor and became Tesla's fourth CEO in 2008, shortly after the first Tesla Roadster was launched. He is credited with taking Tesla onto the global stage. After buying Twitter for $44 billion in 2022 and renaming it X, Musk has been working to create an 'everything app.' He wants X to be like WeChat in China, offering messaging, payments, social media, business services and more. X's chief executive Linda Yaccarino said 2025 would be the year X 'connect [s] you in ways never thought possible,' with features like X TV, X Money, and Grok. In January, Musk announced a partnership with Visa to allow users to move money between traditional banks and an X digital wallet, making payments to friends easier.

‘Do Not Buy' SharpLink Gaming Stock (SBET) Warns Martin Shkreli
Investor Martin Shkreli has warned his followers on X, formerly Twitter, that SharpLink Gaming (SBET) isn't a stock worth buying. Specifically, the businessman said, 'may go to 500-1000 (i bought small, do not buy).' Confident Investing Starts Here: Shkreli highlighted SBET stock after the shares surged this week on news that it's creating an Ethereum (ETH) treasury. It has raised $425 million to do so through a private investment in public equity (PIPE). Investors will also keep in mind that Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin has joined SharpLink Gaming as its Chairman of the Board. Shkreli's comments on SharpLink Gaming stock carry a lot of weight. That's due to his history as an investor and the lack of analyst coverage for SBET. This has retail traders closely watching the advice of online investing personalities to get a read on SharpLink Gaming. SharpLink Gaming stock movement this week has been phenomenal. The shares have rocketed 2,639.93% over the last five days, largely thanks to its Ethereum treasury announcement. That rally continued on Friday, with SBET stock rising another 12.07%. Despite the huge interest in SBET stock, its daily active trading has hovered around 2 million shares. Shkreli shed light on this in his X post. He noted that the SharpLink Gaming float is less than 2 million shares. This is due to a registration rights agreement on the 69 million shares issued that won't be effective for months. This leaves it with a tradable market capitalization of roughly $130 million. Is SBET Stock a Buy, Sell, or Hold? While analyst coverage of SharpLink Gaming is lacking, TipRanks' AI analyst, Spark, has weighed in on the company. It offers an Underperform (40) rating for the shares and no price target. SBET stock may get more analyst coverage following its dive into Ethereum.

Marvel Studios recently took to social media to share a new poster for its forthcoming Disney+ outing, Ironheart. The colorful promo art shared on X (formerly Twitter) looks like an amalgamation of multiple layers, highlighting half of Riri Williams' face, with a freshly introduced mask covering the other half. Set in the backdrop of what looks like William's hometown of Chicago, the image predominantly contains a palette of four colors, namely white, black, red, and gold. Here's the new Ironheart promo art: While the poster only teases a suit that Dominique Thorne's Riri Williams could don in the Ironheart series, it showcases a design that MCU fans have yet to witness on camera. Taking place after the events of 2022's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ironheart will follow Williams' journey as she attempts to realize her ambition of inventing technological advancements, including her Iron Man-esque suits. However, along the way, she inadvertently crosses paths with the magical world of the MCU after encountering Anthony Ramos' Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. In addition to Ramos and Thorne, the Ironheart series will feature the likes of Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anji White in pivotal roles. The show has already had to endure a significant amount of controversies, with audiences lambasting its first official trailer and Ironheart's co-creator, Mike Deodato Jr., claiming that Marvel did not pay him for the Disney+ series.
