Sexyy Red Promises Aid To St. Louis After Deadly Tornadoes

Sexyy Red is ready to help St. Louis after deadly tornadoes ripped through the midwestern city. On Wednesday (May 21), the 27-year-old revealed plans to support those in need on social media. Taking to Instagram, the rapper shared a text post with red wording against a black background detailing her dedication to her hometown amid the destruction. 'St. Louis, my heart is with you,' elaborated the upload. 'Idc what nobody say this the city that made me who I am so this is personal!! I have major plans to help us out I got us period just be patient and please stay strong. Let me know what y'all need so I can help out for now.' According to the Associated Press, St. Louis Mayor Cara Spencer confirmed that five people died, 38 were injured, and more than 5,000 homes were affected in her city last week. The storm system also resulted in 18 deaths and 10 serious injuries in Kentucky. As noted by AP, the storms hit after the Trump administration massively cut staffing of National Weather Service offices. CBS News reported that warning sirens failed to activate in St. Louis ahead of the tornado, and the emergency management chief has been placed on administrative leave. 'The direction was not clear,' explained Mayor Spencer. 'It's my understanding that the button was not pushed.' Still, city officials learned that even if the button was pushed, it was not in working condition. 'FEMA has not been on the ground,' exclaimed Mayor Spencer to MSNBC earlier this week, per Mediaite. 'We do not have confirmed assistance from FEMA at this point. I do want to say, however, every other level of government has been on the ground with us helping in every capacity possible. But when you have a disaster of this scale — eight miles of just pure destruction — this tornado didn't just touch down and leave. This tornado ripped through our community for a full eight miles in the city of St. Louis, and this is an area that has needed help that, we need investment. Our North St. Louis has been neglected for a long time and we need the help of our partners here.' Chris Brown freed on bail and will go on world tour

Chris Brown freed on bail and will go on world tour The singer was charged after an alleged bottle attack in London Chris Brown performs during Tycoon Music Festival at Little Caesars Arena R&B singer Chris Brown has been freed on bail after he was charged over an alleged bottle attack at a London nightclub two years ago. The American musician, 36, can continue with his scheduled international tour this year, including in the UK in June and July, as part of his bail conditions, Judge Tony Baumgartner told Southwark Crown Court on Wednesday. Brown must pay a £5 million security fee to the court, which is a financial guarantee to ensure a defendant returns to court and may be forfeited if they breach bail conditions. The Go Crazy singer is accused of causing grievous bodily harm to Abraham Diaw in February 2023. ‌ He did not appear in court for the bail application hearing. The tour will also see Brown travel to parts of Europe, the United States and Canada. ‌ He must surrender his passport if he is not travelling, Judge Baumgartner said. Brown must live at a specific address known to the court but is not allowed to visit the nightclub and he cannot contact Mr Diaw or apply for international travel documents. He will next appear with his co-defendant, US national Omololu Akinlolu, 38, at the same court on June 20. Brown and Akinlolu have both been charged relating to the assault which allegedly took place at the Tape venue in Hanover Square in Mayfair on February 19 2023. Article continues below Manchester Magistrates' Court heard last week that Mr Diaw was standing at the bar of the Tape nightclub when he was struck several times with a bottle, and was then pursued to a separate area of the nightclub where he was punched and kicked repeatedly. Brown was arrested at Manchester's Lowry Hotel at 2am on Thursday by detectives from the Metropolitan Police. He is said to have flown into Manchester Airport on a private jet last week in preparation for the UK tour dates. A case management hearing has been set for October 24.

Chris Brown Led The Star-Studded Tycoon Music Festival For An Unforgettable Detroit Night

I packed my bags and hopped on a flight Saturday (April 19), and made the journey from New Jersey to Detroit's Little Caesars Arena. While the trip was a bit hectic, it was absolutely worth every mile. I was there for the Tycoon Music Festival, headlined by none other than Chris Brown, with performances from Wiz Khalifa, Gucci Mane, Fabolous, Skilla Baby, and surprise guests like Sexyy Red, G Herbo, Chevy Woods, and Tee Grizzley. From the moment I stepped into the sold-out venue, the energy was electric, and it was clear that most of the crowd had come for one main event. The night kicked off with Skilla Baby, bringing that undeniable Detroit energy to the stage. His set, filled with tracks like 'CFWM' and 'Tay B Style,' set the tone for what was to come. But it was the crowd's spontaneous sing-along to Keyshia Cole's 'Love' that truly showed the connection that Skilla has with his fans. There was an unmistakable sense of hometown pride in the air as Detroit showed love for one of its own. Gucci Mane then hit the stage, delivering his signature energy with hits like 'Pillz' and 'Wasted,' all while his wife, Keyshia Ka'Oir, stood by his side for a special performance of 'Freaky Gurl.' Fabolous, ever the class-act, brought his smooth delivery to the arena, offering timeless classics like 'Can't Let You Go' and 'Breathe,' before the high-energy surprise of Sexyy Red. The crowd went wild as she strutted in a skin-tight bodysuit, twerking and hyping up the audience with her set — which included hits 'Get It Sexyy,' her new track 'Hoochie Coochie' and more fan favorites. Wiz Khalifa followed, bringing a laid-back vibe that was a perfect contrast to the earlier sets. No shirt, spliff in hand, and totally in his element, Wiz made sure the crowd was fully immersed in his trippy world. His 40-minute set, which included 'Mezmorized,' 'We Dem Boyz,' and 'Roll Up,' was filled with those signature Wiz moments, like tossing joints into the crowd, adding to the carefree energy. Closing with 'Young, Wild & Free' and 'See You Again,' he had everyone in the arena singing along, arms in the air, all feeling the collective joy of the moment. Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for. Chris Brown finally took the stage, opening with the high-energy 'Party' and immediately commanding the attention of every single person in the room. His set was a seamless mix of old favorites like 'Yo (Excuse Me Miss)' and 'Poppin',' paired with newer hits like 'Sweet Love' and 'Back to Sleep.' As always, his choreography was impeccable, with his backup dancers providing the perfect complement to his high-energy moves. Watching Breezy perform, with the crowd singing every lyric, was a reminder of just how deeply connected he is to Team Breezy. One of the most memorable moments of his set came when Chris brought out Detroit's own Tee Grizzley to perform their hit 'IDGAF.' The energy went up another notch when Tee dropped his iconic 'First Day Out,' with Chris ad-libbing and even joining in on a few moves, showing love for the city and its talent. But what really stood out to me was the raw emotional connection Chris shared with the audience. As he closed with 'Loyal,' he took a moment to thank the crowd, saying their support will 'never go unnoticed.' In that brief moment, you could feel the genuine gratitude he has for his fans — a reminder of his humility, even at the height of his superstardom. Saturday night undeniably served as a perfect preview of what's to come on the upcoming 'Breezy Bowl' anniversary tour. The energy, the visuals, the choreography — it was all top-tier. Fans seemed even more excited for what Chris Brown has in store for his upcoming anniversary tour. The Tycoon Music Festival was an unforgettable night, leaving many satisfied for what the sixth annual festival brought this time around. The festival was clearly more than just a celebration of beloved music; it was about culture, community, and the way live performances have the power to make you forget about anything else in that moment. From the first note to the final encore, the Tycoon Music Festival was a reminder of the magic that happens when the mic is on and the stage is set. Ashanti, Fabolous, Lloyd, And More Spread Nostalgic Love At My Platinum Playlist Concert

My Platinum Playlist invaded Los Angeles last weekend (May 10) for the ultimate millennial affair. Presented by Bobby Dee and hosted by J. Valentino, the concert brought hundreds of fans to the Greek Theatre for an evening of Hip-Hop and R&B. The sun blared over the outdoor venue with temperatures well into the 90s, foreshadowing the heat that later arrived on stage. As evening set in, the party began with a lively performance from Lumidee, cementing the party vibes at the nostalgic showcase. Nina Sky, Mike Jones, Lloyd, and Jeremih also performed their fan-favorite records as the audience stood on their feet and sang every word. As the event continued, Fabolous took the stage to perform To close the night, the 'princess' of Hip-Hop and R&B arrived centerstage in a camouflage outfit with eye-catching pink thigh-high boots. The chart-topping musician interacted with the crowd, inviting a sing-along to her biggest melodic hits. A special moment came when Lloyd returned and joined Ashanti on stage for a performance of their 2004 song 'Southside.' After they sang, Lloyd wished Ashanti a happy Mother's Day in her first year celebrating the annual holiday as a parent. Take a look at moments from My Platinum Playlist in Los Angeles below. Tycoon Festival 2025: Chris Brown stars, Sexyy Red surprises, Detroit hip-hop represents

In a lively and festive Saturday night at Little Caesars Arena, the Tycoon Music Festival made its Detroit premiere as Chris Brown headlined to a packed house. Detroit's Tee Grizzley and viral rapper Sexyy Red were among the top surprise guests in a four-hour affair that delivered multiple artist cameos to go with the announced lineup of Brown, Wiz Khalifa, Gucci Mane, Fabolous and Skilla Baby. It was the sixth edition of an annual event launched in 2019 by Brown's manager, Ant Wilson, who was on hand at LCA along with girlfriend and R&B star Monica. Detroit was the latest destination for Tycoon after previous runs in cities such as Atlanta and Houston. Here's a rundown: Brown's 50-minute set reaffirmed his onstage bona fides as he closed the night for one of Team Breezy's most devoted U.S. markets. Kicking off with a neon-streaked 'Party,' Brown drew mostly on the recent years of his two-decade catalog, though he did dip back to the early days with a dash through 'Yo (Excuse Me Miss),' 'Poppin'' and a glistening 'Strip.' Brown was joined at times by a high-energy dance crew to complement his own dazzling, hip-hop-influenced moves, though he was just as comfortable commanding the proceedings alone onstage. He shined on a mid-show stretch of bedroom soul ('Sweet Love,' 'Back to Sleep') and a warm, glowing 'Residuals.' Clad in a shirt citing Ecclesiastes 9:11 — a Bible verse about endurance through life's twists and turns — Brown wrapped up with 2014's 'Loyal' after thanking fans for their allegiance: 'It'll never go unnoticed,' he said. Saturday's set was a quick taste of what may be coming with Breezy Bowl XX, which will kick off in June and eventually feature pair of August shows at Ford Field: a slick, visual-heavy production (including pyro and a pair of giant inflatable Chris Browns flanking the stage), dynamic choreography and a heap of hit songs. By virtue of its timing, this year's Tycoon became a 4/20 weekend celebration — the weed aroma was apparent as soon as you pulled into an LCA parking area — and this Pittsburgh stoner-rapper was certainly up for the cause. Spliff in hand as he hit the stage, Wiz romped through a trippy 40-minute set of hazy floaters ('Mezmorized'), hypnotic numbers ('We Dem Boyz') and catchy hits like 'Roll Up,' which came with giant balloon joints tossed to the crowd. Fans especially locked in as he wrapped with an upbeat 'Young, Wild & Free' and anthemic 'See You Again' with Charlie Puth's piped-in vocals. Three months after her own LCA headlining appearance, the breakout St. Louis rapper was back Saturday, drawing screams of recognition as she hit the stage two hours in. Twerking in a skintight suit, Sexyy Red clocked all of five minutes in her cameo. She followed a pair of unannounced sets from Detroit rapper Payroll Giovanni — who performed his solo hit 'Hoes Like' and nodded to his westside group Doughboyz Cashout — and Chicago's G Herbo. It was Tee Grizzley who got the prime-time spotlight, joining Brown for the duo's 2023 hit 'IDGAF' and wrapping his mini-set with a crowd-igniting 'First Day Out,' the rapper's 2016 breakthrough smash. In between — with Brown momentarily ceding his own stage — Tee paired up with fellow Detroit rapper Skilla Baby for their collab 'Gorgeous.' Earlier, Skilla Baby had kicked off the Tycoon fest with a ladies-pleasing set that had him venturing out into the arena to give fans a chance to grab their own close-up TikTok moments. 'There's no place like home, there's no place like home,' the 26-year-old intoned at one point. Highlights included 'CFWM' and 'Tay B Style' — and a Skilla-led crowd singalong on Keyshia Cole's 'Love.' Atlanta trap pioneer Gucci Mane logged a pro performance with a set that included a vivacious onstage appearance from his wife, Keyshia Ka'Oirr, during his early career hit 'Freaky Gurl,' part of a set that included crowd-pleasers 'Pillz' and 'Wasted.' Fabolous, equipped with his agile, sing-song delivery, kicked off with a latter-day track ('Cold Summer') before ultimately making his way back in time to the smooth grooves of 'Can't Let You Go' and the set-closing 'Breathe.'
