Raymond man identified as dump truck driver critically injured in I-93 crash

A dump truck driver suffered life-threatening injuries Sunday when his vehicle veered off Interstate 93 in Canterbury and struck trees in the median, New Hampshire State Police said. The crash occurred around 5:20 p.m. near mile marker 47.4 on I-93 South. The driver was taken to Concord Hospital in critical condition Sunday night. Identified as Tyler Bragdon, 35, of Raymond, he remains in critical condition as of Tuesday morning at Massachusetts General Hospital, according to a news release. Investigators determined the white 1996 International 4700 dump truck, which was towing an industrial woodchipper, crossed from the travel lane into the high-speed lane before leaving the roadway and colliding with multiple trees. State troopers responded to find good Samaritans attempting to help the driver, who was trapped in the severely damaged vehicle. Firefighters eventually freed the man, who was then taken by ambulance to the hospital. The passing lane remained closed until at least 10 p.m. as crews cleared debris and removed the truck from the median. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash and anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Tyler Griffin at
