‘Stay gold, Ponyboy;' Beloved play hits Liberty stage
LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – Liberty High School's theater club is preparing to bring a beloved classic to the stage.
'The Outsiders' opens at the high school's auditorium Friday night. It's based on the classic novel written by S.E. Hinton.
Students have been rehearsing for the spring production since January and are ready to welcome an audience to the show.
'I would tell people to come out and watch us because it's cool, something cool to watch, and not everybody gets to do 'The Outsiders,'' said Tyler Gulosh, a sophomore at Liberty High School.
There are performances Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.
