Man dead after head-on crash on Burlington Pike
An Elsmere man is dead after a head-on crash on Burlington Pike on Tuesday night, according to the Boone County Sheriff's Office.
Tyler Herald, 26, was driving a Honda Fit westbound and collided with a Chevy Equinox driven by Lisa Cahill, 60, of Petersburg, officials said.
"Evidence confirmed Herald's vehicle failed to negotiate the right-hand curve and crossed the double yellow center line into the eastbound lane of travel," a press release from the sheriff's office said.
Herald was pronounced dead at the scene, and Cahill was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, investigators said.
