Lucas Hernandez evokes paradoxical season at PSG
By his own admission, it has been a season of highs and lows for Lucas Hernandez (29) at Paris Saint-Germain. The France international missed the start of the campaign as he recovered from an ACL injury sustained at the end of the previous season. Not only did that injury rule him out of Euro 2024, it also meant that he did not feature for PSG until Decemeber. Advertisement Once he did return, he found it hard to displace either Nuno Mendes or Willian Pacho, who were both consistent and almost displaceable elements in Luis Enrique's back line. As a result, Hernandez made just 10 starts in Ligue 1 last season. He made just five appearances in PSG' triumphant UEFA Champions League campaign, starting just once, against VfB Stuttgart in the 'League Phase'. 'I've experienced the toughest moments in my career, but at the same time, the most beautiful,' Hernandez told Téléfoot. PSG drop pursuit of Liverpool's Mohamed Salah
Paris Saint-Germain has long since been touted as a destination for Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah (32), however, understands that the Egyptian is no longer of interest to the Ligue 1 giants. Salah's future remains up in the air. His contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season and the forward has previously alluded to this season being his last at Anfield. However, talks over a renewal are ongoing, despite the forward being able to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club. According to Téléfoot, Salah's wish is to remain at Liverpool beyond the end of his current deal and he is therefore not currently in talks with any other clubs. The club most frequently linked with a move for Salah, PSG, is now out of the running, as per Le Parisien. The publication understands that the Egyptian's profile no longer corresponds to what Luis Enrique and Luís Campos are looking for and therefore the long-running pursuit has come to an end. Real Madrid interested in Liverpool's Ibrahima Konaté
With Ibrahima Konaté's (25) contract at Liverpool set to expire at the end of next season, the question of his future at Anfield is one that is being increasingly frequently posed and is increasingly pertinent. However, understands that links to PSG are unfounded with the Ligue 1 club strongly denying a pursuit of the former RB Leipzig man. However, Real Madrid, who have a long-standing interest in Konaté, remain in the race, according to Le Parisien.
