Gold Cup knockout rounds: Have USA, Mexico qualified? Who else joins?
The 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup rolls on with the group stage finishing up this week ahead of the knockout rounds on Saturday. The U.S. men's national team has booked its spot for the quarterfinals, as has rivals Mexico. But other teams in the tournament are still aiming to book places. And with this Gold Cup being the final competitive tournament for the region before next year's 2026 World Cup, there's plenty to watch for. Here's a look at where things stand at the Gold Cup, and how the rest of the teams can qualify. Who qualifies and who is already in? The top two finishers of each group will advance. That will then determine the locations of the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds. The teams already in the eight-team bracket are: Mexico (top-two finisher in Group A) Costa Rica (top-two finisher in Group A) United States (top-two finisher in Group D) What are the Groups? Group A: Mexico, Costa Rica, Suriname, Dominican Republic Group B: Canada, Honduras, El Salvador, Curacao Group C: Panama, Jamaica, Guatemala, Guadeloupe Group D: United States, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, Saudi Arabia What is the knockout round schedule? QUARTERFINALS Saturday, June 28TBD vs. TBD, 7.15 p.m. ET - State Farm Stadium, Glendale, AZ TBD vs. TBD, 10.15 p.m. ET - State Farm Stadium Sunday, June 29TBD vs. TBD, 4 p.m. ET - U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN TBD vs. TBD, 7 p.m. ET - U.S. Bank Stadium SEMIFINALS Wednesday, July 2TBD vs. TBD 7 p.m. ET - Energizer Park, St. Louis, MO TBD vs. TBD, 10 p.m. ET - Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara, CA FINAL Sunday, July 6 TBD vs. TBD 7 p.m. ET - NRG Stadium, Houston, TX Group-by-group breakdown Group A Remaining Games: Sunday, June 22Mexico vs. Costa RicaDominican Republic vs. Suriname Mexico and Costa Rica have clinched the two spots in this group, having each won their first two games. The two play on Sunday to see who'll win the group. Mexico, with a better goal difference, needs a win or draw to finish first. Costa Rica needs a win. The Dominican Republic and Suriname were eliminated. Group B Remaining Games: Tuesday, June 24Canada vs. El Salvador (10 p.m. ET) Honduras vs. Curaçao (10 p.m. ET) Canada must ensure they don't lose to El Salvador by five goals more to advance to secure a top-two spot. A win ensures they emerge as group winners. Honduras must beat Curaçao and they'll finish in the top two. If Canada draws or loses to El Salvador, then they'll win the group. Curaçao must beat Honduras to finish in the top two. If Canada loses to El Salvador, then they'll win the group. El Salvador must beat Canada by at least five goals, and then see how the Honduras-Curaçao game plays out. Group C Remaining Games: Tuesday, June 24 Guadeloupe vs. Guatemala (7 p.m. ET) Panama vs. Jamaica (7 p.m. ET) Panama must beat Jamaica to win the group. A loss could still see them through if Guatemala lose or draw against Guadeloupe, depending on the goal difference. Jamaica can advance with either a win, loss, or draw against Panama – but it will depend on Guatemala's result against Guadeloupe. Goal difference will be a factor as well. Guatemala can finish second if they beat Guadeloupe and Jamaica loses to Panama. A loss or draw would depend on goal difference. Guadeloupe must beat Guatemala by two goals and hope for Jamaica to lose. Group D Remaining Games Sunday, June 22Saudi Arabia vs. Trinidad and Tobago (7 p.m. ET) United States vs. Haiti, (7 p.m. ET) The United States will clinch the group if they beat Haiti. A loss still wins the group, as long as Saudi Arabia don't beat Trinidad & Tobago by seven or more goals. Saudi Arabia will finish second in the group if it beats Trinidad & Tobago. A big win (seven goals or more) and a U.S. loss to Haiti would win the group. A loss eliminates them. Haiti needs to the beat the U.S., but that still won't guarantee advancement. The best path is to win by multiple goals and wait out the result of the Saudi Arabia-Trinidad & Tobago game. Won't qualify with a loss or draw. Trinidad & Tobago must beat Saudi Arabia, then have Haiti lose or draw. If Haiti wins, then T&T would need to win by five or more goals. Won't qualify with a loss or draw. Powering Minneapolis icons: Cordia's energy innovations at U.S. Bank Stadium and Augsburg University
In a city known for its dynamic seasons, iconic skylines, and deep community roots, infrastructure is the invisible thread keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. At Cordia, we take great pride in being a part of that critical foundation — delivering reliable, efficient energy services to the institutions that make Minneapolis thrive. Two recent milestones underscore our continued investment in the city's future: our long-standing relationship with U.S. Bank Stadium and a renewed partnership with Augsburg University. A legacy of support for U.S. Bank Stadium U.S. Bank Stadium isn't just a premier sports and entertainment venue —it's a symbol of Minneapolis' forward-looking spirit. Since opening its doors in 2016 on the former site of the Metrodome, the stadium has hosted the Super Bowl, Final Four, and countless concerts, becoming a national showcase of what a modern facility can be. What many may not know is that Cordia has supported this site for decades, going back to the original Metrodome. When plans began to emerge for a new stadium, we saw it as an opportunity not just to continue our service, but to innovate and expand our infrastructure to meet the future needs of the facility. As part of a multi-year planning and engineering process, Cordia executed an agreement to provide U.S. Bank Stadium with both steam and chilled water service from our downtown energy system. To ensure peak reliability and performance, we installed a new, dedicated 24-inch chilled water line that feeds directly into the stadium. This line, along with dedicated booster pumps and a complete reconfiguration of the piping within our main plant, represented a significant investment in custom engineering and construction. The result is a highly efficient, resilient energy delivery system that supports everything from climate control for fans to optimal field conditions for athletes. It's a behind-the-scenes solution with very visible results. Renewing a community bond with Augsburg University Our work with Augsburg University is another proud chapter in Cordia's Minneapolis story. In late 2023, we renewed our energy partnership with the university — a relationship that has sustained for more than two decades. But this wasn't just a renewal; it was a reinvestment in the university's campus and the surrounding community. As part of this renewed agreement, Cordia purchased the university's existing steam line, assuming responsibility for its operation and long-term reliability. We recognized immediately that parts of the infrastructure were aging and required thoughtful, coordinated upgrades. But the situation also presented a unique challenge. Adjacent to Augsburg's campus is M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital, a critical facility with round-the-clock operations and emergency care. We routed a new path for the replacement steam line — primarily to minimize piping in the public street for cost reasons — and coordinated construction carefully to avoid disruptions. This wasn't your typical infrastructure project. With an active emergency room entrance just feet from our construction zone, coordination and communication were paramount. Our teams collaborated daily with hospital and university staff, managing traffic, minimizing disruption, and adjusting schedules in real time to meet the needs of patients, students, and faculty alike. The result was a seamless installation that improved energy reliability without impacting access to essential services. Investing in Minneapolis' resilient future These two projects — at U.S. Bank Stadium and Augsburg University — are powerful examples of how Cordia's infrastructure investments aren't just about pipes and pumps; they're about partnerships. Our goal is to be more than an energy provider — we aim to be a trusted collaborator, designing systems that meet today's needs while preparing for tomorrow's challenges. Energy infrastructure in urban environments requires precision, patience, and a deep commitment to the community. Whether we're installing a 24-inch chilled water line beneath downtown streets or coordinating construction next to a hospital emergency entrance, our work is always guided by a focus on safety, sustainability, and service. Minneapolis continues to grow and evolve, and Cordia is proud to be growing with it. From powering iconic stadiums to supporting world-class education and healthcare institutions, we're honored to play a role in building a resilient, efficient, and connected city. As we look to the future, our mission remains clear: deliver energy solutions that empower communities — and do it with care, excellence, and partnership. Cordia is a leading provider of safe, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions. But if you've been to older stadiums in the past few years, it's obvious just how far ahead U.S. Bank Stadium is compared to most of the league. The 'Skol Chant' gets fans amped after a fantastic 'Showtime' pregame presentation that would leave fans foreign to football, believing they're about to witness a concert. Now we wonder what the Vikings and U.S. Bank Stadium do in 2025 to up the ante.
