BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — Bridgeport police say a man wanted for a 2009 murder in their city was extradited to the United States on Thursday, after being located in Spain.

Police said Gantt was found with multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced deceased on scene. An investigation suggested there was an ongoing verbal disagreement between the men, who both lived at the complex and knew each other.
Police believe Wanderson fled the country not long after the incident, traveling to several different countries.
According to police, Wanderson was taken into custody by the Spanish National Police in August of 2024. On Thursday afternoon, the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force took him into custody at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York.
