UAE Gender Balance Council Partners with Posterity Institute to Boost Women's Leadership Representation
In a strategic move to accelerate gender balance in the UAE's private sector, the UAE Gender Balance Council has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Posterity Institute.
This partnership aims to advance the SDG 5 Acceleration Pledge, which seeks to increase women's representation in leadership roles to 30% by 2028.
Under the agreement, the two organisations will collaborate to establish policies and mechanisms that promote gender-inclusive workplaces. They will share expertise and implement joint initiatives, including workshops and training programs, designed to empower women in leadership positions. The initiative will also work to secure the pledge from over 30 institutions, representing 35% of the Posterity Institute's network.
Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice President of the UAE Gender Balance Council, expressed the significance of this partnership, aligning it with the UAE's broader vision for women's economic empowerment. She highlighted the importance of Emirati women in driving the country's economic growth and praised the collaboration as a model for public-private partnerships in achieving sustainable development.
The Posterity Institute joins 71 other national and international companies committed to increasing women's representation in leadership by 2025. This collective effort spans key industries such as aviation, healthcare, banking, and media.
With the backing of the UAE National Competitiveness Council (NAFIS), the partnership will also focus on expanding job opportunities for Emirati women. Both organisations reaffirm their dedication to creating a fair and inclusive work environment that fosters long-term economic growth and gender equity.
