UIL State Tennis: Which Texas Panhandle tennis players are heading to San Antonio?

The UIL Tennis State Tournament will kick off later this week with a number of athletes from the Texas Panhandle set to compete for state titles. A handful of schools saw multiple competitors qualify after solid performances at their regional tennis tournaments; including Booker, Nazareth, Randall, Canyon and Amarillo High. The state tournament will begin at 8 a.m. Thursday from multiple locations in the San Antonio area. Advertisement Class 1A and 2A will play at the Blossom Tennis Center, Class 3A and 4A will compete at the Annemarie Tennis Center and Class 5A and 6A are set for the Northside Tennis Center. The event will host boys and girls singles and doubles, as well as mixed doubles brackets, starting with a Round of 16 before eventually crowning the state champion after four rounds. The top performers from regional tournaments earned byes and won't have to compete in the Round of 16, instead meeting the winner of a first-round matchup in the quarterfinals.
