British man missing in KL since May 27, UK media reports
PETALING JAYA: A British man, Jordan Johnson-Doyle, 25, has been missing in Kuala Lumpur since last Tuesday (May 27) after his family failed to contact me, the UK Daily Mail has reported.
He was last seen in Healy Mac's Irish Bar in Bangsar at 8pm when he sent his best friend Owen a photograph of the pub's quiz night poster.
The software engineer has been on a solo trip to the Mediterranean and Southeast Asia while working remotely for about a year and a half now.
He arrived in Malaysia on May 17 and was believed to have been staying at Robertson Residences Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur.
Jordan's mother, Leanne Burnett, 44, worried and anxious about bringing him home, said they have been trying to get in touch with him via phone and social media. His phone is said to have gone dead in the city area last Friday.
According to Burnett, based on the 'Find my iPhone' tracking service, the phone was located at a residential flat near the Irish-themed bar last Wednesday.
Leanne had been consistently checking up on her son and the tracking service before she slept and after waking up in the morning.
Leanne had spoken to him on Monday, May 26, talking about their usual work matters and expressed that he sounded normal.
The family has also since contacted the British Consulate and police in Malaysia for assistance. Follow us on our official WhatsApp channel for breaking news alerts and key updates!
