Young Swindon athletics club breaks three records
A young athletics club has broken three club records.
The achievements by Swindon Harriers came during the UK Athletics Youth Development League, Premier South & West Division match at Gloucester and the Brewer Memorial Games.
Arthur Adams, 10, surpassed the Under-13s javelin club record set 11 years ago by Ben McIntyre, throwing 37.85m, earning him the best performance of the match.
His throw places him fourth in the UK Under-13 Rankings and first in the South West for 2025.

Teenager Esha Bhalerao broke the Under-15s pole vault club record, reaching 2.71m, surpassing Sophie Bath's four-year-old record.
Lucy Bull, competing at the Brewer Memorial Games, broke her personal best in the Under-17s javelin by almost two metres, reaching 48.46m and breaking Hannah Lewington's 2022 record.
This performance consolidates Bull's position as first in the UK Under-17 Rankings and lifts her to 12th on the All-Time Lists.
The club also finished second to Cheltenham in the opening Youth Development League match.
Team manager Craig Scott said: "Overall, we had a great day, and second was a great result given we were missing some key athletes.
"We were not too far behind Cheltenham, which certainly gives us hope that we can catch them if we have our full-strength team out with all the gaps filled."
