The call was part of the ongoing communication between the two countries and sought to follow up on the implementation of the outcomes from the recent meeting of the Arab-Islamic Committee on Gaza, held in Cairo, according to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The phone discussion also focused on following up the Egyptian-Qatari efforts to consolidate the ceasefire, return to the January 19 agreement, and ensure the implementation of its three phases. These phases include the release of hostages and prisoners, as well as the delivery of humanitarian, medical, and shelter aid to the Gaza Strip. For his part, Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan briefed Minister Abdelatty on the results of his recent visit to the United States. The two ministers also discussed Arab-Islamic efforts with international actors in the coming period and mobilizing support for the Arab-Islamic plan for the early recovery and reconstruction of Gaza. The Israeli forces resumed attacks on Gaza on March 18, breaking a ceasefire that had allowed for the release of dozens of captives taken by Hamas during the October 7, 2023 attacks. Egypt is seeking to restore the ceasefire and resume the entry of the humanitarian aid into the besieged Gaza Strip, where more than 1.5 million people suffer from airstrikes, and starvation. So, Egypt has presented a new proposal to the both sides, in coordination with other negotiators.

Baghdad ( – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, opened on Monday the Digital Transformation and Automation Center at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
