Bernalillo County seeks public input on search for next fire chief
BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County is seeking the public's input on qualities, priorities, and leadership they would like to see in the next fire chief.
The search for a new chief comes after acting Chief Greg Perez announced his pending departure earlier this year.

A community input session will be held on Monday, May 19, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Ken Sanchez Commission Chambers located at Alvarado Square, 415 Silver Ave. SW. The conversation will be facilitated by URE Consulting, a consulting group that specializes in executive recruiting services for police and fire.
Discussions with members of Bernalillo County Fire Rescue will also be held. Chief Perez will continue to serve as acting fire chief until a replacement is selected.
