California Capital Airshow returns this weekend

( — The California Capital Airshow returns to Mather Airport this weekend. This year's show features demonstrations from a number of U.S. military aircraft teams including the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and the USAF F-16 Viper Demo Team. Video Above: Planes on display at the 2023 California Capital Airshow In addition to the sights in the sky, attendees can get an up-close ground-level look at combat aircraft dating back as far as World War II and large modern military transport aircraft like the C-5 Super Galaxy M and the C-17 Globemaster II. 'With the Blue Angels headlining for the first time since 2019, this year's Airshowpromises to be an unforgettable experience for aviation fans of all ages,' DarcyBrewer, Executive Director of California Capital Airshow, said. 'Our team has workedtirelessly to create an event that showcases the awe-inspiring power of flight, and wecan't wait to welcome everyone for a weekend with amazing performances and familyfun.' The 19th annual airshow, presented by Sacramento County in partnership with the City of Rancho Cordova, previously took place in the fall but this year will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 22 and Sunday, March 23. Flying performances will take place on both days from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets for the show are available on the California Capital Airshow website. Tickets will not be available at the gate.
