In this episode, USGS Volcanoes said lava fountains from the north vent are feeding a lava flow that is spreading on the crater floor, reaching up to 400 feet high.
As of now, less than 10 percent of the crater is covered with lava flows.
'No changes have been detected in the East Rift Zone or Southwest Rift Zone,' said the USGS in a 9:10 p.m. update.
According to officials, ongoing hazards include volcanic gas emissions and windblown volcanic glass (Pele's Hair) that may impact Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and nearby communities.
