US Navy's Vice Admiral George Wikoff visits AMH
Vice Admiral George M. Wikoff of the US Naval Forces Central Command (Navcent), U.S. 5th Fleet and Combined Maritime Forces, met with Dr George Cheriyan, the Corporate CEO of the American Mission Hospital, in A'Ali, yesterday.
Dr Cheriyan gave him a tour of the facility, and Ms. Julia Tovey, the Group CEO of the American Mission Hospital, presented the Vice Admiral with a book, 'A Journey through the Decades', which she had written on the hospital's 120- year history.
Other senior officers from the US Navy and the hospital leadership were also present in the meeting, where they discussed the legacy of the hospital and the long history of US –Bahrain relations in healthcare.
