UST ties up with T-Works to boost Industry 4.0 innovation in manufacturing and automotive sectors

UST , a digital transformation company, and T-Works , India's largest prototyping centre established by theTelangana government, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support product development in manufacturing, semiconductor, and automotive industries. The partnership aims to integrate UST's digital and AI capabilities with T-Works' prototyping infrastructure to provide end-to-end solutions for startups, MSMEs, and larger enterprises. Collaboration to lower R&D costs The agreement is expected to reduce research and development costs by up to 40 per cent through shared-risk innovation and joint intellectual property ownership. Combining digital prototyping with physical manufacturing is projected to speed up hardware-to-digital integration by as much as 45 per cent. UST will also offer its customers priority access to AI-optimised CNC workflows, early prototypes of GaN power devices, and subsidised use of semiconductor design resources. Alexander Varghese , Chief Operating Officer, UST, said, 'By bringing together physical manufacturing capabilities and digital simulation models, we're creating a 'phygital' innovation platform. This partnership drives faster and more cost-effective product development and supports startups and enterprises in scaling ideas into market-ready solutions.' Joginder Tanikella , Chief Executive Officer, T-Works, added, 'Combining UST's expertise in AI and digital engineering with our prototyping infrastructure marks a step towards advancing India's manufacturing and product development. Startups in the T-Works ecosystem will benefit from access to UST's global customer base, expanding their market reach.' The MoU also includes joint development and commercialisation of new intellectual property such as 5G-enabled industrial IoT modules and the incubation of Industry 4.0 solutions through a UST-powered accelerator for automotive suppliers. UST will deploy resources at T-Works' prototyping facility, providing experience across product development stages.
