Hearts and Aberdeen braced for transfer tussle as Premiership rivals eye Iraq winger

Stromsgodset winger Marko Farji is on Hearts' transfer radar - with Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen also showing interest. The Jambos are looking to strengthen their attacking options under new boss Derek McInnes and Record Sport revealed they were in for Claudio Braga, while Islam Chesnokov is another who looks set for Gorgie. Advertisement Farji has turned out for his club 11 times so far this term and despite their struggles - sit 14th in the Norwegian Eliteserien with just two wins from nine - the playmaker has seven goals and three assists in all competitions. Farji, who has been capped twice for Iraq, is under contract with Stromsgodset until 2026 and a six-figure fee would likely be enough to get a deal done. Advertisement Record Sport understands any move could hinge on other transfer options on the Hearts shortlist. The creative talent is versatile and while he most often operates as a left-winger, he can also play in an attacking midfield position or on the right-flank. With Daniel Arzani's future still up in the air amid interest from Tynecastle, the Australian has suitors in Asia and across Europe so Farji could be an alternative to the ex-Celtic man. It comes as they continue to push for a deal for Stuart Findlay at the back as well as Uchenna Ogundu up top.

Uchenna Ogundu wanted by Hearts as part of triple transfer blitz as striker flagged up by analytics

The Sanliurfaspor teenager, 19, is the subject of an offer from the Jambos Hearts are looking to land Nigerian striker Uchenna Ogundu. The Jambos have pitched to land the teenager from Sanliurfaspor. ‌ The Turkish second-tier club are prepared to let their prize asset go for a small fee but are looking for a large sell-on. ‌ The 19-year-old has been flagged up by analytics with Derek McInnes and his scouting team doing a lot of additional work on him. Ogundu pitched in with six goals and two assists in his breakthrough season with Sanliurfaspor. He can also play wide on the right but his main attributes are his pace, strength and an eye for goal. Ogunda only moved to Turkey from the Diamond Academy in his homeland last August. He initially joined just after fellow experienced countryman Olaneaju Kayode. Kayode quickly won a move and Ogunda got the chance to step up and replace him, making his senior debut in January. ‌ Since then he and his career haven't looked back. Hearts are also looking to close the transfer of fellow Claudio Braga from Norwegian side Aalesund. ‌ A fee has been agreed and the deal should be finalised to allow the 25-year-old to join Hearts for pre-season. Hearts are close to finalising the move for McInnes to team up with the big defender who impressed under him when he was on-loan at Kilmarnock. ‌ Hearts are also hitting brick walls in their pursuit of another winger. Out-of-contract Melbourne Victory star Daniel Arzani is a target but the former Celtic player is now considering a number of European options, which could offer Champions League football. Kazakhstan international Islam Chesnokov is another who is on the wanted list but Hearts have been struggling to agree a fee with his side, FC Tobol, in this window. Hearts have already signed Elton Kabangu, Christian Borchgrevink, Oison McEntee and Alexanderos Kyzirdis.
