Maha: Gadkari takes swipe at Congress over Hindutva
Nagpur, June 22 (UNI) Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari took swipe at the opposition Congress party over its misinterpretation of Hindutva.
In a public interview conducted by senior journalist Dr Uday Nirgudkar here on Saturday night, he made it clear that taking to the streets with saffron flags or doing some actions is not Hindutva but it is a value-based lifestyle.
He said, "we also pray for world welfare during worship. Unity in diversity and tolerance of all religions is the true form of Indianness. This is Hindutva."
When asked about his role in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections to be held in the year 2029, Gadkari replied that, "what we saw in 11 years was just a news reel, the real film is yet to start."
