Muscat: National Finance Company, a leading firm in Oman in the field of finance, has joined hands with Dar Al Atta'a Association, through its Himmah Volunteer Team for organising a campaign for dispersing coupons of the Udhiyah 'the ritual sacrifice of sheep' in the Muscat Governorate. The initiative aims to disperse gift coupons of Udhiya for the needy families in areas, including Muttrah, Al Amerat and Seeb. The National Finance company continues with its corporate responsibility to boost the initiatives aimed at improving the lives of the individuals and to disseminate the spirit of solidarity and social coherence among the members of society. Tariq bin Sulaiman Al Farsi, Chief Executive Officer of the National Finance, said that the company believes in the significance of contributions for decent life for all members of society through such initiatives. He also reiterated the company's mission and message not just as a finance corporation but also as a social establishment supportive to society during each event. With our support to the families during Eid Al Adha, we seek to further cement the culture of mercy, compassion and social responsibility as to make a positive impact on the community ties and to further cement the culture of the company, he added. Himmah Volunteer Team of the company has always been a motivating factor for change, he said, adding that the team works on motivating the employees and all stakeholders to achieve sustainable results with impact on society. In 2024, the team expanded its activities to include a number of community initiatives such as social care, education and environment preservation, he added. The recent cooperation with Dar Al Atta'a represents a solid partnership established on common values and vision for responsible citizenship. The two parties continue with bridging the gaps and preserving dignity and enhancement of equal opportunities among the various sectors of society. Such initiatives are taken at large for the public interest.

Farewell and Support at the Airport The department concluded its extensive awareness programmes for UAE pilgrims by bidding farewell to those departing for the holy lands through Sharjah International Airport, where their inquiries were addressed and a religious kit was distributed. This kit included booklets, guide manuals, and a collection of supplications to assist them throughout their Hajj. Ongoing Dhul-Hijjah Campaign in Mosques In conjunction with the arrival of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, the department is currently implementing an intensive awareness campaign across all mosques in the Emirate. The campaign includes lessons and lectures on the virtues of the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, the merit of fasting on the Day of Arafah, and the religious and health-related rulings and conditions of Udhiyah. These efforts are part of the department's ongoing mission to enhance religious awareness and promote Islamic values within the community. Commitment to Religious Guidance The department affirmed that its awareness programmes stem from its commitment to serving the pilgrims, ensuring a safe and Sharia-compliant journey, and enhancing the public's religious awareness during these blessed days. Tribune News Network Doha Qatar Charity (QC) has started preparations to implement Udhiyah projects and a series of humanitarian and development initiatives across 40 countries, including Qatar. This is part of Qatar Charity's Dhul-Hijjah 1446 AH (2025) campaign launched under the theme 'The Greatest Days'. QC's Adahi projects, supported by generous donors, plan to distribute meat from around 45,300 sheep and cattle across 40 countries, including Qatar, reaching over 850,000 people in need. The focus will be on crisis-affected countries and regions such as Syria, Palestine, including Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, and Somalia. Amid Gaza's ongoing humanitarian crisis, QC has reaffirmed its commitment to dignity and care. Sacrificial animals (Adahi) designated for Gaza will be slaughtered on schedule, expertly cut, and securely packaged to preserve freshness. The moment border crossings reopen, the meat will be swiftly delivered to families in need, ensuring they too can share in the blessings of Eid. QC's Udhiyah distribution will take place in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kosovo, Nepal, Nigeria, Ghana, The Gambia, Palestine, Syria, Tanzania, Niger, Sri Lanka, Senegal, Ethiopia, Indonesia, India, Lebanon, South Africa, Malaysia, Yemen, Chad, Somalia, Burkina Faso, Turkey, Tunisia, Kyrgyzstan, Mali, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Egypt, Sudan, Kenya, Djibouti, Mauritania, Togo, Benin, and Burundi. In Qatar, QC's Adahi project will distribute sacrificial meat from 4,000 sheep to around 30,000 individuals, spreading the joy of Eid. Beyond Udhiyah, the 'Greatest Days' campaign invites contributions to broader relief efforts, including food baskets with essential supplies, which are expected to be distributed in Somalia, Chad, Kenya, Pakistan, Sudan, Ivory Coast, and Yemen, in addition to delivering aid to Rohingya and Sudanese refugees. The 'Greatest Days' campaign also seeks support for development projects, including water and economic empowerment projects, which will benefit needy families in Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Kosovo, Bangladesh, Gambia, Niger, Nigeria, Chad, Syria, Senegal, Somalia, Burkina Faso, Albania, Tunisia, Jordan, Morocco, Ghana, Kenya, and Pakistan. Additionally, the campaign will provide humanitarian aid and implement other vital projects. QC has invited Qatari citizens and residents to seize the blessings of Dhul-Hijjah's first ten days by supporting its charitable projects, emphasizing the profound spiritual reward of good deeds during this sacred time.

Sacrificial Meat to Reach Needy Families in Kuwait This Eid

KUWAIT CITY, May 22: Deputy Director General of Zakat House Adel Al-Jeri announced that the institution is preparing to launch its annual Eid Al-Adha sacrifice (Udhiyah) project in Kuwait and internationally, in celebration of the upcoming holiday. In a press statement, Al-Jeri affirmed that Zakat House remains committed to fulfilling the Sunnah of sacrificing animals during Eid Al-Adha each year. He explained that the local portion of the project will be carried out in cooperation with a Kuwaiti livestock company, starting from the first day of Eid. 'Internationally, the project will be implemented in several African and Asian countries through licensed charitable organizations that work with Zakat House, in coordination with Kuwaiti embassies in those countries,' he disclosed. He added that in Kuwait, the sacrificed animals will be slaughtered, butchered, packaged and stored under food safety and quality standards; and then distributed to eligible and needy families registered in Zakat House. He provided the following pricing details: I nside Kuwait: KD79 for Australian sheep and KD180 for local (Arab) sheep Outside Kuwait: prices range from KD25 to KD105, depending on the country. He said the project will be carried out in Lebanon, Yemen, Somalia, India, Sudan, Benin, Uganda, Tanzania, Indonesia, Djibouti, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Mauritania, Albania, Niger, Bosnia, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, Cambodia, Jordan and Syria. clarified that the international sacrifice animals will not be limited to sheep and goats, but will also include cows. He cited as examples in Tanzania, where one share of a cow costs KD22; and in Cambodia where one share costs KD35 He added that donors can contribute to the project through the Zakat House website, its mobile app or by visiting its donation centers near cooperative societies, and booths in 360 Mall, The Avenues, and Kuwait International Airport (Terminal Four).
