Railways to run four pairs of summer special trains
Patna: Railways will run four more additional pairs of
summer special trains
on the Muzaffarpur-Anand Vihar, Delhi-Darbhanga, New Delhi-Saharsa and Udhna (Gujrat)-Gaya routes to cope with the summer rush.
According to the ECR's chief public relations officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra, the Muzaffarpur-Anand Vihar will be in operation from May 24 to July 19, leaving Muzaffarpur every Saturday at 1.30pm and reaching Anand Vihar the next day at 10am via Hajipur-Patliputra Junction-Danapur-DDU-Prayagraj route. "On its return journey, it will leave Anand Vihar every Sunday at 12pm and reach Muzaffarpur the next day at 9.45am," he said.
Similarly, the Delhi-Darbhanga has been put into operation from May 19 to July 10, leaving Delhi every Monday and Thursday at 11am and reaching Darbhanga the next day at 1.30pm via Hajipur-Muzaffarpur-Samastipur route.
"On its return journey, it leaves Darbhanga every Tuesday and Friday at 3pm and reaches Delhi the next day at 6.50pm," the CPRO said, adding that the New Delhi-Saharsa has been put into operation from May 20 to July 11, leaving New Delhi every Tuesday and Friday at 7.30pm and reaching Saharsa the next day at 7.50pm. On its return journey, it will leave Saharsa every Wednesday and Saturday at 9.40pm and reach New Delhi the next day at 11.30pm.
Likewise, the Udhna-Gaya will run between May 23 and June 27, leaving Udhna every Friday at 10pm and reaching Gaya on Sunday at 3.15am. On its return journey, it will leave Gaya every Sunday at 7.10am and reach Udhna the next day at 2pm.
