Fans all say the same thing about Alejandro Garnacho as video emerges of him signing a Man United shirt after Ruben Amorim told him to find a new club

Fans are convinced there is no way back for Alejandro Garnacho at Manchester United after seeing a video of him signing a shirt during the club's post-season tour of Malaysia. Garnacho has had a very turbulent week at United after being left out of the team's starting line-up for their Europa League final with Tottenham last Wednesday. United subsequently went on to lose 1-0, with Garnacho only playing 20 minutes off the bench, and the Argentine star did little to hide his frustration with manager Ruben Amorim as he admitted it had been a 's***' season for the club. His agent brother then added fuel to the fire by posting on Instagram that the winger had been 'thrown under the bus' by Amorim. The Portuguese boss addressed Garnacho in front of his team-mates over the weekend, with Mail Sport exclusively revealing that he told him: 'You better pray that you can find a club to sign you'. After finishing the season trophyless and down in 15th place in the Premier League, United jetted off to Malaysia on Sunday night and have been greeting their fans in recent days. A video has now emerged of Garnacho signing a United shirt alongside his team-mate Manuel Ugarte where the former appears to do a half-hearted autograph before failing to contain a yawn as he looks like he would rather be anywhere else. Garnacho is definitely gone. — Paddy (@OddsOnFPL) May 27, 2025 The Argentine winger failed to contain a yawn after signing the fan's shirt One fan is convinced Garnacho will 'definitely' leave Man United this summer after seeing the footage Another supporter claimed Garnacho looks 'broken' in the video Fans noted how Garnacho appears to be unhappy with how he has been treated by United Garnacho was also accused of showing a lack of respect to fans with his behaviour One X user said Garnacho's body language was 'shocking' in the video Garnacho came off the bench as United were beaten by ASEAN All-Stars on Wednesday After seeing the footage, supporters now believe it is only a matter of time before he heads to the United exit door. 'Garnacho is definitely gone,' posted one X user alongside the video. Another commented: 'He looks broken sigh'. 'He's absolutely fuming,' one fan added, while another claimed: 'Bro is not happy'. The 20-year-old has also been accused of a lack of respect towards fans following the video. 'Regardless of what's going on with the club, that's incredibly rude. Fans pay their bloody wages.,' one fan wrote on X. Another supporter was in agreement, adding: 'His body language is shocking'. Garnacho came off the bench in United's first post-season friendly on Wednesday afternoon, and received a largely positive reception from the crowd. However, it proved to be another humiliating day for the Red Devils as they slumped to a 1-0 loss against ASEAN All-Stars. Garnacho was one of United's brighter players but could not help his side find a breakthrough as they hit a new low under Amorim ahead of what is likely to be a crucial summer, with the head coach set to rebuild his squad and Garnacho likely to be moved on.

Scott McTominay becomes Napoli legend with Serie A title... and leaves Man Utd to regret sale

In the jubilant scenes at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, Napoli and Scott McTominay, who scored in the 2-0 win over Cagliari, sealed one the biggest of the many errors made at Manchester United during their current era of turmoil. United sold one of their own to Napoli nine months ago and there he was celebrating a Serie A triumph, joining the great Jimmy Greaves and John Charles in lifting the famous Coppa Campioni d'Italia trophy At Old Trafford, senior figures cited profit and sustainability rules for the £25 million sale of McTominay. The Premier League financial rules incentivises the sale of home-grown players, giving them pure profit on the player who joined United's academy aged five and worked his way to the first team. WHAT A GOAL SCOTT MCTOMINAY 🤩 IT HAD TO BE HIM 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Cross in the box from Politano, and McTominay's overhead kick puts Napoli in the driving seat for the Serie A title now 🏆 📺 @tntsports & @discoveryplusUK — Football on TNT Sports (@footballontnt) May 23, 2025 Yet on the very same day an agreement was made with Napoli, there was also a breakthrough in talks over signing Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain. United would spend €£42 million up front on Ugarte. They could also pay £8.5 million in add-ons but one would assume those targets have not been hit this season. The Uruguay international has scored one Premier League goal and has received 15 yellow cards. This week McTominay celebrates a title, while Ugarte was an unused substitute in the dismal Europa League final defeat by Tottenham Hotspur. Congratulations to Scott Mctominay on winning the Serie A with Napoli 👏 Well deserved 🏆 — United Zone (@ManUnitedZone_) May 23, 2025 It must also be said that McTominay was looking for regular football himself, rather than being forced out of the door in the way Marcus Rashford was later in the season. 'I didn't want this but that's the rules the club had to deal with,' said Erik ten Hag at the time. 'The rules are, I would even say, bad, but that's the situation created. It forced us to make this decision.' McTominay had played a huge role in easing the pressure off Ten Hag in his final season at Old Trafford. Back in the days when United were expected to get a result against Brentford at home, they were trailing by a goal when McTominay came off the bench with three minutes to go. He scored twice to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. There was another late winner, against Aston Villa, and a match-winning double against Chelsea as some of the high peaks of United's roller-coaster season. The Scotland international was nicknamed 'McSauce' after those moments, although he never took too kindly to the moniker. In Naples, his team-mate Pasquale Mazzocchi has called him McFratm – in Neapolitan dialect, Fratm translates as brother – which has stuck. It is painted on a shrine to McTominay, showing how much the 28-year-old has been taken to heart. McTominay himself has spoken about being 'misprofiled' at United as he came through the ranks. He was used as a No 6, or even as a centre-back by his coaches when he had attacking qualities that were not being utilised. One of the coaches that saw those attacking attributes was Steve Clarke, who used him further up the pitch, resulting in the two goals in Scotland's famous win over Spain in 2023. Despite being a United man, there was some bad luck when he was on the brink of being a first-team regular. Jose Mourinho recognised McTominay's contribution, hastily commissioning an award for the midfielder at the end-of-season dinner when he was told there was no recognition for his young player. 'Scott has given everything, in five or six months,' Mourinho said on stage, with an improvised trophy. Mourinho would not be around at United to see McTominay reach his peak years. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's staff felt he still had a few years of learning the game before reaching his highest level. Perhaps he was always in the shadows of Paul Pogba, the midfielder that United broke the Premier League transfer record for. West Ham United had submitted bids for McTominay in previous windows but a move did not materialise until last summer. The transfer to Italy appealed to a player who felt somewhat typecast as a player suited to the rough and tumble of British football, rather than the cultured midfielder seen this season in Italy. For instance, when he put on the front cover of the Pro Evolution Soccer computer game, the headline that accompanied it on the Talksport website was: 'Surprising'. He joined Lionel Messi, Serge Gnabry and Miralem Pjanic on the cover and had hardly broken into senior football back in 2019. Now he has been hailed among the best midfielders in Europe after his triumphant campaign. QUESTO È NAPOLI 💙 — Oficial SSC Napoli (@sscnapoliES) May 23, 2025 It may not be the last player to haunt United after leaving. Romelu Lukaku was Napoli's other scorer. Antony has reached the Europa Conference final with Real Betis. Marcus Rashford is injured but could celebrate reaching the Champions League with Aston Villa. They could join McTominay as ones that got away.

'We're just getting started.' El Paso County sheriff rolls out new DWI Task Force

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office's new DWI Task Force will continue operations at various times of the year after rolling out and netting 36 arrests on Easter weekend, Sheriff Oscar Ugarte said. While campaigning for sheriff last year, drunken driving was one of the most common concerns mentioned by voters, said Ugarte, who took office on Jan. 1. The sheriff's new task force leverages the assistance of other law enforcement agencies to tackle the problem of driving while intoxicated. Crime: El Paso police arrest 2 drivers suspected in wheelchair, scooter hit-and-run collisions "This task force reflects what we can achieve when local law enforcement agencies unite behind a common goal —keeping our residents safe," Ugarte said in a statement. "The community asked us to act on DWIs, and we listened," Ugarte said. "These arrests send a clear message: if you drive impaired in El Paso County, you will be held accountable. We're just getting started." The new DWI Task Force is comprised of sheriff's deputies, county constables and Horizon City police officers working overtime. Its first operation took place on Friday and Saturday, April 18-19. The task force arrested 25 men and 11 women, ranging in age from 17 to 52 years old, stated Sheriff's Office information. Thirty drivers face DWI charges, with the remainder arrested on charges including drug possession, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and the arrest of one fugitive from Arizona. More: 'Outrageous': Judge denies bond reduction for Fort Bliss soldier charged in fatal crash Ugarte added that he plans on asking county commissioners for funding for a full-time, permanent county DWI Task Force. The El Paso Police Department has its own permanent DWI Task Force funded in part by state grants. The DWI Task Force is part of the new sheriff's focus on community concerns, including driver's license and auto insurance street checkpoints and cracking down on illegal dumping in the desert. Arne Slot 'turned down' chance to sign Man Utd star last summer for one reason

Arne Slot was keen to sign a deep-lying midfield player ahead of his first season as Liverpool head coach but the club turned down the chance to buy a Manchester United target Liverpool were offered the chance to sign Manuel Ugarte before the Uruguay star moved to Manchester United last summer, it has emerged. But the Reds had no interest in pursuing anyone else after missing out on their top target, Martin Zubimendi. It turned out to be a quiet first transfer window for Arne Slot, who completed deals for Federico Chiesa and Giorgi Mamardashvili - the Georgia goalkeeper who will arrive at Anfield this summer - after Zubimendi had a dramatic change of heart at the eleventh hour over a transfer from Real Sociedad. ‌ Slot solved his No.6 search by nudging Ryan Gravenberch back into a deeper position and the rest, as they say, is history. But not before mulling over the prospect of signing Ugarte. ‌ As revealed by The Athletic, the 24-year-old midfielder was 'offered' to Liverpool after their proposed move for Zubimendi broke down by his former club, Paris Saint-Germain. The Reds passed on such a move, though, with Slot wanting a technical No.6 with the ability to pick the right pass in moments of pressure. There was no interest in pursuing a 'panic buy' and, as such, Ugarte stayed in Paris until Manchester United struck a deal with the French champions later in the window. Ugarte moved to Old Trafford for a deal worth £42million and has endured a mixed maiden season in the Premier League, with United struggling badly under Erik ten Hag and his successor, Ruben Amorim. While Ugarte has shown glimpses of why Ten Hag was so keen to sign the midfielder before his sacking back in October, Liverpool legend Graeme Souness doesn't appear to be overawed with the midfielder given he recently questioned United's decision to offload Scott McTominay. ‌ The Scot has gone on to enjoy a fine season with Napoli while United have floundered, with Souness telling The Mail: "Oh how Manchester United must regret selling Scott McTominay. He's a fantastic modern footballer. A high-energy, box-to-box workaholic who chips in with important goals. "He was 27 years old and not hurting United with his wages when the club's 'decision-makers' thought it was a bright idea to sell him to Napoli for £25million. They'd gone out and spent £58m on an ageing, 30-year-old Casemiro, and paid him £370,000 a week. And another £42m on Manuel Ugarte. Collective transfer fees of £100m. "Would someone at United please hold their hand up and say, 'This was my shout.' Because it's been an atrocious piece of judgment."
