Community gathers for ‘Pysanka' workshop in New Haven
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Community members gathered today to partake in a Ukrainian Easter Egg Pysanka workshop on Sunday.
Organizers say the art of Pysanka is over 2000 years old.
Restaurant week returns to New Haven in April
Guests of the workshop got to learn more about the history and try it for themselves.
'I've been decorating pysanka since I was six years old, but my favorite is decorating but also demonstrating or lecturing so that people can learn about the beauty and the history of the pysanka,' Gloria Horbaty of Wallingford said.
