$1 million lottery ticket sold in Ansonia
ANSONIA, Conn. (WTNH) — The winner of a $1 million Ultimate 7s scratch ticket claimed their prize on Monday, making this Ansonia's second winning lottery ticket in one week, according to Connecticut Lottery officials.

'I couldn't breathe for a moment,' the winner of the top prize said to CT Lottery officials.
The woman said she plans to use the money to pay off bills, including her mortgage, and purchase her dream car as a late birthday present to herself.
The Ultimate 7s ticket was sold at Big Daddy Food Mart on Beaver Street, which was the largest lottery ticket prize won in the state since a Danbury resident won $2 million in May. The food mart will receive a $10,000 retail bonus for selling the ticket.
