Story Time in the Park starts up across Albuquerque
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Kids are on summer break here in Albuquerque, and that means the return of Story Time in the Park. Everybody's favorite baseball-loving alien-dog creature, Orbit, came out for the year's first event.

The children who showed up got a copy of the book as well as a free lunch. 'We love for the kids to read all summer long. Not just during the school year, because it prevents learning loss. It's great for them to have a different set of books than the ones they have at home. Or may even not have at home,' said Emily Hedges, Teacher, Story Time in the Park reader.
These events are happening at multiple parks until July 17. There is no story time on Fridays, but kids can still show up for a free lunch.
