Mercy Stefie Wong is Unduk Ngadau Tawau

TAWAU (May 18): Mercy Stefie Wong, the newly crowned Johan Unduk Ngadau Tawau 2025, will represent the district at the state-level Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan competition in Kota Kinabalu.
The 23-year-old nurse said she is preparing thoroughly for the contest on May 30.
'I will focus on practicing public speaking and answering questions confidently to familiarize myself with the competition. Even with a busy work schedule, I will make time to improve myself for the next stage,' she told the media during the 2025 Tawau District Kaamatan Festival celebration at the Tawau community hall on Saturday.
'My hope is to make my parents, family, and the Tawau community proud. I also want to see our culture preserved so we can remain united in our cultural diversity,' she added.
The event, officiated by Tawau member of parliament Datuk Lo Su Fui, featured eight contestants vying for the Unduk Ngadau Tawau 2025 title.
