‘Armed and dangerous' man charged in Monroe shooting wanted by police
MONROE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Police are seeking a man wanted in connection to a shooting in Monroe Wednesday night. Officers the shooting occurred at 8:30 p.m., when they discovered a 30-year-old man at the intersection of Boyte and Adams streets with a non-fatal gunshot wound. Police are looking for 49-year-old Clary Gene Doster Jr., who is considered armed and dangerous. He is described as a Black male last seen driving a dark blue or black Chrysler 300 with NC tag No. TKV-5863. Longtime 'nuisance house' in Indian Trail shut down by authorities Doster is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and possession of a firearm by a felon. The victim went to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. Anyone with information on Doster's whereabouts is urged to call the Monroe Police Department at 704-282-4700 or Union County Crime Stoppers at 704-283-5600. The Monroe Police Department is searching for a suspect who is considered armed and dangerous.
