Police in Rock Island seek information after morning shooting
Police in Rock Island need the public's help to find out who shot a man in the city this morning.
A news release from the Rock Island Police Department says officers responded to the 1600 block of 12th Street on May 1 at about 10:09 a.m. for reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found evidence showing that multiple shots had been fired. Officers were also dispatched to UnityPoint Hospital, where they met with a 22-year-old Black man who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg.
