Mistry OTT Release Date: When and where to watch the Indian adaptation of Monk ft. Ram Kapoor and Mona Singh
Mistry OTT Release Date: If you've ever been a fan of Monk, the iconic American detective series that mixed crime-solving with the quirks of OCD, you'll likely feel a familiar tug of nostalgia with Mistry, the Indian adaptation set to premiere soon. Starring Ram Kapoor in the lead role, Mistry will be streaming on JioHotstar starting June 27, 2025. What is Mistry all about? Mistry brings back that unforgettable detective energy, this time with a desi twist. Ram Kapoor plays Armaan Mistry, a gifted but deeply troubled detective battling obsessive-compulsive disorder much like the original character Adrian Monk, played by Tony Shalhoub in the original. From avoiding handshakes to compulsively counting things, Kapoor's character shares the same compulsions that made Monk both heartwarming and heartbreaking. Meet the team behind Mistry Alongside Ram Kapoor, the show features Mona Singh as ACP Sehmat Siddiqui, the tough and empathetic cop who often grounds Armaan's chaotic brilliance. Also joining the ensemble are Shikha Talsania and Kshitish Date in important roles. Mistry is directed by Rishab Seth and produced by Banijay Asia, in association with Universal International Studios. Ram Kapoor, speaking about his role, said in a media statement, 'Armaan Mistry is a character unlike any I've played before. The whole experience of shooting Mistry was so immersive - I have deep-dived into this character and understood his quirks, his brilliance and his vulnerabilities. It is a character very close to my heart, and I am thrilled with how it has come out.' With Banijay Asia and NBCUniversal Formats collaborating, there has been a clear effort to retain the soul of the original Monk while tailoring it to Indian audiences. Deepak Dhar of Banijay Asia described the show as 'a seamless blend of crime, humour and heart,' while NBCUniversal's Linfield Ng praised Kapoor's performance and the creative team for capturing the 'spirit of the original.'

Lena Dunham's Netflix Show Too Much Gets Release Date, New Photos
Netflix has announced the release date for the upcoming romantic comedy, which hails from Golden Globe winner Lena Dunham. The show will be led by Emmy nominee Will Sharpe (The White Lotus) and Megan Stalter (Hacks). Too Much is created and executive produced by Dunham and husband Luis Felber, with the Girls alum also serving as its writer and director. It is her first major TV project as creator after seven years since working on the HBO series Camping. It is executive produced by Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Michael P. Cohen, Surian Fletcher-Jones, and Bruce Eric Kaplan, with Camilla Bray producing. Too Much is scheduled to start streaming on July 10, 2025, exclusively on Netflix. Besides Sharpe and Stalter, the cast also includes Michael Zegan, Janicza Bravo, Richard E. Grant, Rita Wilson, Naomi Watts, Andrew Rannells, Rhea Perlman, Emily Ratajkowski, and Adwoa Aboah. It hails from Universal International Studios, A Working Title Television, and Good Thing Going Production. 'Jessica (Stalter) is a New York workaholic in her mid-thirties, reeling from a broken relationship that she thought would last forever and slowly isolating everyone she knows. When every block in New York tells a story of her own bad behaviour, the only solution is to take a job in London, where she plans to live a life of solitude like a Bronte sister,' reads the official synopsis. 'But when she meets Felix (Sharpe) — who is less Hugh Grant in Notting Hill and more Hugh Grant's drunken roommate — she finds that their unusual connection is impossible to ignore, even as it creates more problems than it solves.' 'Now they have to ask themselves: do Americans and Brits actually speak the same language? From the creator of Girls and the producers of Love Actually, Too Much is an ex-pat rom-com for the disillusioned who wonder if true love is still possible, but sincerely hope that it is.' Kayleigh Llewellyn's sharp writing, paired with the bold direction of Erika Calmeyer and Myriam Raja, set the tone for a series that is sure to captivate audiences from start to finish.' Lindsay Salt, Director of BBC Drama, says: "It's no surprise that Kayleigh's heartfelt and captivating scripts have attracted a cast of such an outstanding calibre, with exciting new talent acting alongside established names already loved by BBC viewers. I can't wait to see them bring The Dream Lands to life." Set in a near-future Margate, against a backdrop of soaring inequality, The Dream Lands tells the story of Chance and her family, a young woman who discovers life and love, while being forced to fight for her family ad friends' survival in a world that's crumbling around her. It's 2039 and temperatures are soaring, seas are rising, and the political climate is equally as menacing. The Dream Lands is a thrilling voyage of romantic awakening and self-discovery, a defiant community fighting back. A high stakes relationship drama set against a backdrop of conspiracy, the story blazes with the enduring power of love and hope, in a world spinning out of control. Produced by SISTER and Universal International Studios for BBC iPlayer and BBC One, The Dream Lands was commissioned by Lindsay Salt, Director of BBC Drama.
