Plans for development of 11 new Edinburgh townhouses in 'underused carpark'
Plans have been submitted for the re-development of an underused car park into 11 four-bedroom townhouses in Stenhouse.
Developers have filed plans for the townhouses to be erected in three clusters at the site between Ford's Road and Gorgie Road.
According to planning documents, the homes would occupy an unused car park area of Westwood House, which is located at 498 Gorgie Road.

The three-and-a-half-storey townhouses would also include roads, car parking, footpaths, sewers and drainage, soft and hard landscaping, bin storage and utility connections.
The site abuts the Water of Leith and developers say the terraced family homes will complement the recent residential conversion of Elfin Square, also by LAR, reports Urban Realm.
Planning documents state: "The proposal is for a new residential development of 11 dwellings at Ford's Road in Edinburgh.
"It is anticipated that this proposal will make a positive contribution to street-specific and wider scale residential development in the area and provide much-needed family housing in Edinburgh.
"A variety of services and amenities on Gorgie Road and the nearby Saughton Park are located within a few minutes' walk from the application site.
Images of the proposed properties show homes with sleek, dark grey cement cladding.
Documents further state: "The design of the buildings has been developed to present an interesting but simple appearance reflecting the distinctive sense of community and place the client is hoping to create.
"Unique but attractive external materials should ensure the new development ages well as it matures."
