Samosa seller's daughter is city topper
Ranchi: Ananya Pal, daughter of a samosa and aloo chop (potato fritters) seller, emerged as the city topper in this year's intermediate arts results of
(JAC), which were announced on Thursday. A student at Ursuline Convent School, Ananya scored 92.6%. "My father runs a small shop and sells samosas and aloo chop for living. Seeing his struggles up close, and the way he worked tirelessly to provide for our family, was all the motivation I needed to keep going," she said.
Ananya said she studied four to five hours daily and focussed on completing her syllabus early, revised regularly and read newspapers for current affairs.
