'Our weaknesses were there for all to see' but players showed 'a hunger'

We asked for your thoughts after Kevin de Bruyne signed off from his last home game on a high, as Manchester City hit three goals past Bournemouth to move one step closer to securing Champions League are some of your comments:Usama: A legend bowing out at the Etihad, he will be missed. As for the performance, it was mixed. We showed our former selves with dominance and composure for the majority of the game, however our weaknesses were there for all to see. We gave away cheap possession twice, resulting in a red card and a needless goal. This cannot keep happening. It has been a frustrating watch all season. We have to be ruthless come the summer transfer Not quite the perfect game for KDB's send-off, but it was certainly eventful. It would be lovely to secure third place after such a disrupted Total City dominance. Things are looking exciting for next season with the young players coming There was a hunger and a sense of urgency that has been missing often this season. There were also many poor first touches, which could have turned into scoring opportunities, but were swept away by the defence. Marmoush's goal was outstanding, as much as it was unexpected, leaving the goalkeeper aghast with what had just happened. Overall a very positive performance, albeit against a squad which was not at its A professional performance with well taken goals. We are nearly in the Champions League again. One last word about King Kev, thank you very much for what you've done and I wish you all the luck in the future.

'Embarrassing' and 'gutless' - fans rue 'predictable' game plan

We asked for your thoughts after Manchester City fell to a shock defeat against Crystal Palace to miss out on claiming their eighth FA Cup at Wembley. Here are some of your comments on the defeat: Usama: An absolutely dreadful performance. No player stood up to the occasion, if anything they caved in. Palace are fully deserving of the trophy, even if Henderson should have been sent off. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if we fail to qualify for the Champions League. City's dynasty is well and truly over. The club has a lot of thinking to do in these next few months, as has Pep. Just changing personnel won't get us back to the top. Martyn: Our game plan has been learned by all. Once the innovators, we are now sadly easy to read. The build-up play is painfully obvious and slow, probably time for a reinvention. Maybe we should do more attacking, rather than the 'watching paint dry' passing football I've watched this season. Lewis: The manager has been wonderful but he's now out of ideas, imagination and tactics. Foden on the right-wing? Grealish never on the pitch? Crosses only from the byline with the Premier League's best at heading the ball in the box? I doubt if we will make the Champions League. Alan: We are rebuilding, it will take time. Well played, the Eagles. Lacey: Honestly embarrassing, especially considering Man City have been to three finals in the last three years. For Crystal Palace to beat us by just one goal is unacceptable. Our season hasn't been what it should've been. There is a very high standard set and it feels wrong that we're not winning this tournament against a team that we should've beaten. To see a ladder team beat a team that has so much more potential is an embarrassment. Simon: Disappointing - too predictable, not enough creativity and not enough pace. What's the point of having a prolific centre forward and not giving him the opportunity to do what he does best? Tony: Completely gutless. A spineless performance from a team of misfits. Haaland needs to keep his opinions to himself and get on with the job he is paid to do.
