Osman Khalid Butt reflects on Orkut days
Osman Khalid Butt, who turned 39 earlier this February, stirred a wave of early-internet nostalgia on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday with a short but sentimental post: "I miss Orkut and waking up one random day to find someone's written you a beautiful testimonial." The tweet, simple and evocative, immediately resonated with fans who grew up during Orkut's heyday. Many flooded the comments reminiscing about the forgotten joy of heartfelt testimonials. "The best part about Orkut was the testimonials," one fan wrote. Another incisively noted, "I guess the millennial generation is pretty much the only one that has seen the transition in their lifetime from Orkut to Facebook to Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok, etc." Many commented, "Good old days." The nostalgic post arrives two months after Osman shared moments from his birthday celebration on Instagram. Surrounded by close family and pampered with two cakes, the Baaghi actor flashed a wide smile in a heartwarming birthday post captioned in French: "Avec la famille" (With the family) along with his birth date. Celebrity friends poured in with wishes. "Happy birthday, brother!" wrote Anaa actor Usman Mukhtar. Simi Raheal chimed in, "A happy birthday and blessed years ahead." Ehde Wafa co-star Zara Noor Abbas cheekily referenced their project: "Happy birthday, Malik Shahzain." Fans, as always, matched the love with their own tributes, many calling him "Obi" and penning long, appreciative notes. One user wrote, "Your passion and kindness have inspired me in ways you'll never know." Osman was also spotted at the wedding festivities of friend and fellow actor Ahmed Ali Akbar in February, joining the celebrations with industry peers like Uzair Jaswal and Usman Mukhtar.

If you're single and ready to mingle, tell Usman Mukhtar
Why worry about dating apps when Usman Mukhtar is here to keep traditions alive with his magical matchmaking skills? Even he seems to agree. On Thursday, he flaunted his secret talent in a cheeky Instagram post. "Swipe left, swipe right, why bother? I'm out here making matches faster than the internet with just a look! Single-handedly putting matchmaking websites out of business!" he declared. Usman's hilarious post comes in response to what the internet and his peers have already been saying. Kubra Khan, who kicked off her wedding festivities just this week, once shared a post on Instagram Stories, which resurfaced recently. "Whoever isn't getting married should be cast in a drama alongside Usman Mukhtar. Then the journey from engagement to marriage will be quicker than you know!" read the post, which featured Usman with Mahira Khan, Naimal Khawar, and Sarah Khan - all of whom later got married. "I've broken this curse. You're welcome, Usman," Kubra wrote then. "Whoever wants to break out of any curses or patterns should work with me." However, as fate would have it, the Na Maloom Afraad actor will soon tie the knot with Gohar Rasheed, so no curses were broken after all. Usman reshared the Story, proudly writing, "Kubra couldn't escape!" Now with his Jafaa co-star Mawra Hocane hitched to her love match, the internet can't help but speculate who's next. And Usman is gladly fuelling the fire online. In another Instagram Story, he promised that a collaboration with Indian matchmaker Sima Taparia is coming soon. Down in the comments section, Usman's followers savoured every bit of these shenanigans. "Sir, the moment I became your fan, my marriage got arranged," revealed a user. "Now, when can I expect to appear in a drama serial with you?" jested another. "You are literally everybody's lucky charm," yet another user wrote. "Ditch the Peer Sahab and go to Usman Bhai," one fan advised, while a male user wrote, "Recommend me to your next drama's casting director if there's a role of a brother." While many more requests poured in, others couldn't help but note that anyone who has set up a marriage business - be it dating apps or Rishta Aunties - is now in danger, all because of one Usman Mukhtar. "Didn't know Umro Ayyar had this superpower too," a fan wrote, referencing the 2024 sci-fi film that the 39-year-old actor starred in. While Usman continues to bring lovers together with his mysterious abilities, he also leads a life filled with love hand-in-hand with his better half. In October 2024, he celebrated his third anniversary with wife Zunaira Inam in a heartfelt note shared on Instagram. Reflecting on their three years of marriage, Usman opened up about the unique dynamic he shares with Zunaira. He wrote, "Three years ago, I married my best friend, who also happens to be my full-time reality check and part-time stand-up comedian, though I'm usually the punchline." The actor's admission paints a picture of a relationship filled with love and laughter, with Usman often finding himself the subject of his wife's jokes. The Chikkar actor went on to describe the way Zunaira manages to blend romance and humour seamlessly into their life together. "Somehow, you manage to make love feel like both a rom-com and a roast session, and honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. You keep me laughing, humble and grounded," he added. Usman ended his message by expressing his gratitude for the joy Zunaira brings into his life, writing, "Thank you for making life better and funnier. Here's to more years of love, laughter and happiness. I love you so, so much Zunaira Inam! Happy third anniversary!"
