Karnataka to host ‘Uthpadana Manthana' to grow six high-potential industry sectors
The State government will host 'Uthpadana Manthana', a one-day flagship initiative to engage industry leaders across six sectors in shaping the future of manufacturing in Bengaluru, on June 10.
The event will focus on six high-potential sectors — aerospace and defence; space tech and drones; electronics (including components) and semiconductors; capital goods, machine tools and robotics; auto/auto-components and electric vehicles (EVs); textiles (materials, technical, MMF); and consumer products (FMCG, footwear, toys), according to a government communique.
'Uthpadana Manthana' will be a high-impact dialogue aimed at crafting a clear and actionable roadmap to transform Karnataka into a global manufacturing powerhouse, said M.B. Patil, Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development.
'By bringing together the finest minds from industry and start-ups, we aim to co-develop strategic solutions that are future-focused, innovation-led, and globally competitive. This platform will help us identify sector-specific growth enablers, unlock investment opportunities, and frame policies that are grounded in industry realities,' said the Minister, adding that the objective of the initiative was to strengthen Karnataka's position as a leader in high-value manufacturing, drive exports, and generate sustainable employment across the State.
Some 58 industry leaders and domain experts have confirmed the participation already.
The Minister said the outcomes from the conference would help define a sector-wise blueprint to position Karnataka as a leading global destination for advanced manufacturing by triggering inclusive industrial growth across the State.
