Naini industrial area entrepreneurs to benefit from new door to door garbage collection service
Prayagraj: The entrepreneurs of Naini Industrial Area will no longer have to worry about garbage disposal. Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) will now collect garbage from the factories of Naini Industrial Area through door-to-door garbage collection. UPSIDA will not charge entrepreneurs a higher fee but will only charge a maintenance fee of Rs 1 per square metre per year. Until now, the entrepreneurs themselves disposed of the waste from the factories. To solve the problems of entrepreneurs and provide them with maximum facilities, a Samadhan Diwas and Samvad programme was organised with the entrepreneurs of Prayagraj division in Naini Industrial Area on May 2 under the chairmanship of Uttar Pradesh govt's industrial development minister, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi. The entrepreneurs demanded improvements in electricity, water, cleanliness and other basic facilities in Prayagraj industrial area. Minister Nandi assured the entrepreneurs of these improvements. UPSIDA previously charged Rs 20 per square metre per year from the entrepreneurs of Naini industrial area as a maintenance fee, which did not include garbage disposal. The entrepreneurs had to remove garbage from their enterprises themselves, incurring additional costs. To address this issue, UPSIDA has now decided to dispose of the garbage by conducting door-to-door garbage collection from the factories established in Naini industrial area. The pre-determined maintenance fee of Rs 20 has been increased by just one rupee, making the maintenance fee Rs 21. Now, the entrepreneurs have resolved the problem of garbage disposal at a fee of just one rupee per square metre per year. President of Eastern Chamber of Commerce, Vinay Kumar Tandon, said that the entrepreneurs will benefit from this facility provided by UPSIDA.
