V-Launchpad 2025 concludes at VIT-AP
Amaravati: Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Dr Pemmasani Chandrashekar on Tuesday that the most important step in entrepreneurship is initiation. He was addressing the conclusion session of the V-Launchpad 2025 – Global Innovators Challenge for Swarna Andhra @2047 at VIT-AP University. The Union Minister said that those who think differently and act decisively will succeed. True innovation comes from identifying real problems and creating solutions, not just building products. Many entrepreneurs build what already exists — but to truly succeed, you must bring new and innovative ideas to life. Chairman of TiE Global and Founder-CEO of Volksy Technologies Murali Bukkapatnam, Edyta Wołczyk, CEO of IBS GLOBAL, Poland and Vice-President of the VIT Group Sankar Viswanathan and Vice-Chancellor Dr SV Kota Reddy were also present. Naidu inaugurates academic & hostel blocks at VIT-AP varsity
Hyderabad / Amaravati: The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, inaugurated the Mahatma Gandhi Academic Block, three new hostel blocks, and launched the global innovation challenge — V-Launchpad 2025 at the university campus on Monday. The event marked a pivotal moment in the university's commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and global collaboration. The Mahatma Gandhi Academic Block is India's largest single academic block. Standing tall at 45 metres and spanning 7.68 lakh square feet, the block houses cutting-edge classrooms, lecture halls, collaborative learning spaces, and a 700-seater auditorium. The CM appreciated the VIT Group Founder and Chancellor Dr G Viswanathan for establishing VIT-AP University in Amaravati, which has reportedly achieved an impressive 95 per cent placement rate for its graduates.

Students should play important role in development of Amaravati, says Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu
These are crucial times marked by immense growth and inspiration, and students should realise this and utilise the opportunities being generated during this time and showcase their talent, says Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Participating as the chief guest at the launch of the V-Launchpad 2025 (Global Investors Challenge) programme at the VIT-Amaravati on Monday, Mr. Naidu said: 'We are living through a pivotal moment in the history of the State. There are many developments and innovations in the tech field. Students should utilise these and partake in the development of Amaravati and towards making Amaravati a 'Quantum Valley'.' Recalling the time when his plans for Hitech City and focus on Information Technology were at first received with disbelief, Mr. Naidu said he proved all the naysayers wrong later when Hyderabad became a major IT hub. 'Today, I am focussing on making Amaravati a 'Quantum Valley' and a futuristic city. Once again, my plans are being received with disbelief. But engineering students will know and understand what I am talking about. You all [students] have the responsibility to write the algorithms for quantum computers,' the Chief Minister said, adding that the end goal of students should not be just jobs. 'I want you to think and go global,' Mr. Naidu told the students. While encouraging students to dream big and think differently, the Chief Minister promised them that he would take care of bringing the best universities and best minds to Amaravati. 'The government has the responsibility to create the eco system to fulfil your dreams. SRM and VIT are here. BITS Pilani and international universities will also come soon,' Mr. Naidu said. Before proceeding to the launch of V-Launchpad, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Mahatma Gandhi Academic Block, which houses classrooms, lecture halls, collaborative learning spaces, and a 700-seater auditorium. He also inaugurated three new hostel blocks. G. Viswanathan, founder and chancellor, VIT Group, said the university stands firmly with the Chief Minister in supporting his initiatives for the advancement of education and the development of the new capital. Earlier, the Chief Minister visited various stalls put up by students, interacted with them and asked them about their business ideas. The theme of the V-Launchpad 2025 is 'Sustainable Solutions for Swarna Andhra @2047'. This year, 800+ teams from national and international institutions, including IITs, IIMs, NITs, Rochester Institute of Technology (USA), Arizona State University and IBS Global (Poland) registered for the Global Innovators Challenge, according to a press release from the management. Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh, Tadikonda Constituency MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar, students and faculty were present on the occasion.
