Operation Abhyaas evacuation drill held at Telangana High Court
An emergency evacuation drill was conducted at the Telangana High Court on Friday morning as part of 'Operation Abhyaas'. The drill began at 9.30 a.m., simulating an emergency scenario to test the court's readiness to evacuate staff and visitors.
Fire alarms were triggered and evacuation protocols were swiftly activated as part of the coordinated exercise. Personnel from the Telangana Fire, Emergency, Disaster Response and Civil Defence Department led the operation in collaboration with the High Court administration. Teams from the State Police Force (SPF), medical staff, electrical department and fire officers jointly ensured a smooth and efficient evacuation.
Staff members and court visitors were guided out of the premises in a systematic manner, showcasing the coordination between departments. Fire officers remained on standby to manage any potential hazards during the drill.
Key officials present included Registrar (Management) V. Ramesh, SPF Commandant Anwar Pasha, District Fire Officer T. Venkanna, Assistant Commandants Babu Reddy and Srinivas, and Assistant District Fire Officer V. Bhanu Pratap.
Director General of Fire Services Y. Nagi Reddy, lauded the efforts of the fire station personnel, court staff and all supporting departments involved in the exercise.
