Richmond events this weekend: VCU homecoming and Girl Scout cookies
Alright, let's hope Richmond's roads are drivable by Friday so we can start living again.
Friday, Feb. 21
🪩 The VMFA has hip-hop line dancing with drink specials from its cafe. Dancing starts at 6pm. Free.
🎨 VCU's homecoming is this weekend, and its Black Alumni Council has a " Sip & Spin" at Studio Two Three with an art show and live performances. 6-10pm. Tickets start at $25.
📰 WRIC is collaborating with Art Works to put on a gallery that honors Black history via the overlap among history, journalism and art. 6:30-8pm.
🎶 Kadencia Orchestra, which plays Afro-Puerto Rican music, is performing at Révéler. 8-11pm. $20.
Saturday, Feb. 22
🍪 Get some Girl Scout cookies at Buskey Cider and pair them with a cider. Noon-7pm through Sunday. Free.
🎉 Homecoming celebrations continue with:
" Chill & Spill: VCU Homecoming Day Party" at Ember Music Hall. 3pm. $15.
Watch the VCU vs. GMU homecoming game at the Park. 2-9pm. $20.
HAVOC at the Hof will have DJ Markus Gold. 10pm. Free until midnight.
Sunday, Feb. 23
🤤 End the weekend with some jambalaya at James River Cellars, where they'll be serving that and other cajun dishes. 11am-4pm. Free.
